DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston - Westborough

Tonight (7/23) was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. My family checked in late, finding the lobby under construction. Our room on the second floor had a strong odor from renovations, triggering a family member's asthma. The front desk staff was indifferent and unhelpful. I contacted Expedia, who tried to reach the hotel, but the manager was unavailable. We decided to check out without a resolution or refund and booked another hotel nearby around 11:16 PM. By 11 AM on 7/24, after 12 hours and 90 minutes on the phone with Hotels.com, the hotel was still assessing the situation. At 8:13 PM, the manager was still unavailable. Hotels.com advised calling between 8-9 AM on 7/25. By 8 AM on 7/25, I left a voicemail for the Assistant General Manager. By 6 PM, still no response. Hotels.com informed me that DoubleTree denied the refund, but Hotels.com provided compensation. While I appreciate Hotels.com's efforts, I strongly advise against staying at this DoubleTree. This was my worst experience as a loyal Hilton customer.

The property is under construction and did not disclose this when booking. There is construction equipment all over the makeshift lobby. The staff doesn’t care about the customer. The hotel is dirty and there is a strong smell of weed. Not a place to bring your family. The staff should be embarrassed at the condition. I would not recommend staying here. I am looking for a new hotel.

Is safe and quiet and good for a family trip

Overall, our stay was adequate. We have family in the area and we use this property while we visit them. The HVAC system is very noisy and the rooms are somewhat dated.

Excellent place to stay , clean and safe. Nice place to the family.

Quick over night get away for my daughter, place was kid friendly staff was great for arriving and departure. Prices was a little on the high side for one night but overall was great stay

Loud Air-condition. Old mattress. Very low toilet bowl ( suitable for kids not adults).

No breakfast - competition has better amenities! Noisy guests, kids allowed to run all over at all hours of the evening. Smoking way to close to the entrance - disgusting!

Staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. Front desk lady even let me know when the pool was kid free !!

I liked the hotel, cleanliness, overall condition. Would not stay again as I see free breakfast a must for me. Wi-fi experience was difficult. Seemed like a hotel better suited for business travelers than families.
