Castle in the Sand

We stayed on ocean view room with no balcony during the 4th of July holiday for 3 nights. Steps away from the beach and there was also a pool if you’re traveling with kids. Parking was also available with no extra fee which was a plus!! This is a Great hotel! Walking distance to the amusement park, restaurants and other entertainment. Live music was also at the bar below the hotel with food. The restaurant/bar also provided service if you were at the beach which was a plus. Hotel was pretty clean but the bathroom needed a bit more floor scrubbing under the sink. Over all I would Recommend this place with kids or no kids.. very family friendly.

Great hotel. Lots to do for families. Friendly staff. Good drinks. Love that they serve food and drinks on the beach, so convenient. My daughter loves kids club!

Stayed here for 3 nights. This was our first trip to Ocean City, 2 adults and 2 kids. Property is great, nice clean large pool, great outdoor bar/restaurant with live music all day. Music was at a very reasonable level not crazy loud. They had activities all day for the kids and every staff member was friendly. I don’t love dated rooms or motel like rooms, I’d rather pay more for a nice hotel then rooms I don’t feel comfortable sleeping in. That being said, The rooms are dated but very clean, fresh, and I would absolutely go back. I never felt uncomfortable at all. The property is right on the beach and within driving or walking distance of anything you could want. The hotel is also far enough from the boardwalk where it’s quiet and family orientated. I would highly reccomend and if we come back to Ocean City this is for sure where we’ll be staying.

On the beach with a beautiful large pool with a diving board! Room was a great size for me and my 2 teenage kids. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the Waverly which I thought was much better than the other buildings. We had family staying in both. Waverly was much quieter, less people coming and going. Room was clean. Didnt care for the room rugs and outlets didnt work. Nice kitchen set up. The beds were very comfortable. Pool area staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks could have been stronger. Wish it was closer to the boardwalk.Overall a nice place. Would stay again.

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. Check in at the office was great. The guys at the desk Ie: Mike and MAGIC were terrific and so friendly. Room was clean, great view of the ocean. Restaurant staff so friendly good service, timely, food delicious. Beach service also terrific especially Kylie and Olivia. What a beautiful memory you allowed us to create with our son and his beautiful wife and grand kids. We will definitely being coming back again next year.

The design for the rooms is excellent. I stayed with my family of 5. The room convenience and service was good.

The place was not family friendly. When I complain about the noise the staff said they cannot do anything till 11 PM but for two day the noise was very bad. Staff indicated we can move our room, but it will take over one hour to move our items since it was 9:50, we decide to leave and come back after 11 PM. Some of the bartends at Castle in the Sand need a class on dealing with customer. Staff at the front desk indicated to come during non-peak time in September less noisy.
