This was a convenient location for a family wedding in the inner harbor. The front end of the hotel is right in the middle of the harbor, the back end is right by a few strip clubs FYI :). But the area is safe and the staff were helpful.

Pros: Amazing location in Inner Harbor. Beautiful, historic building. Cons: Not nearly enough tables and chairs at breakfast every morning meant my kids and I had to stand while trying to eat.

Our room was very spacious and clean, well stocked, the noise level was low (we were on 4th floor facing front of hotel), and the staff was very friendly. We loved the tall ceilings in our room and historic touches that the hotel has preserved. Also, it is extremely worth it to get valet- I don’t usually add this service, but at this location it just makes sense. We had absolutely no problems or safety concerns walking from our hotel to Aquarium area, but it was a little strange knowing if we walked around the corner from the hotel in the other direction then we would be surrounded by strip clubs- it made our exploration of the surrounding area very limited since we had a child in tow.

I loved this hotel. The history of it is preserved. It’s spacious, mostly quiet (minus city noise), and in a convenient location to be able to walk to a lot of places. Valet or public parking is available. Both cost money. The only negative would be the vent in the bathroom transfers all the talking and noises from the room above. So keep your bathroom door closed. FYI info: I reserved a 1 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds but those were not queen beds….more like doubles. So beware if you have a kid who likes to sleep with you. Ladies..they charge for towels/wash clothes and/or pillow cases, if you get make up on it. So be sure to take your makeup off before shower or sleep. They do provide 2 packets of makeup remover wipes. Overall again, I loved the property. Would definitely stay there again.

What we found unique was the friendliness of every member of the staff. Everyone! The room was clean and quiet, just as we like it. The room was also well-sized. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Great place for a family. Beds were surprisingly comfy. Pillows and comforters were also very nice, comfy and clean. Had a choice of soft and firm for pillows. Breakfast was the same every day but it was fresh and enough. Service personnel were all great. Lily did a great job at the breakfast buffet. Keep everything clean and filled up at all times. Valet gentleman was also very helpful with suggestions on where to go and how to get to different places. We would stay here afain.

We stayed 2 nights at Staybridge Suites. Valet was easy and friendly. The man at the front desk was also very nice. The building is old but that’s the whole point of a historic building and we loved the old things about it— my 5 year old particularly liked the old elevators and the windows inside the hotel. Breakfast was great, it exceeded our “free breakfast” expectations. The room itself was clean & quiet. We were on the 5th floor so I’m not sure how the sound is on lower floors (and apologize to anyone who was underneath our room as our kid ran around). My only complaint about our stay is in the room we were put in. I didn’t realize until after we woke the first morning, but we were given a different room than we booked. We booked a King Suite w/ full Kitchen. The photos on Expedia included a bar table with chairs and a bath tub. Those two things were the entire reason we chose this room over the others available— we wanted to be able to have our son sit and eat at a table instead of on the floor and we wanted to be able to bathe him. Had I realized immediately I would have contacted the desk but when I did realize (and looked up the info and photos on expedia) we were already settled in, unpacked and had slept so it wasn’t worth trying to move. We just ate on the floor and had a stinky kid because he isn’t a fan of showed yet. I’m not sure if this was a hotel issue or if expedia issue, but it was disappointing. Otherwise everything was great and we would stay again!

Excellent room in a really cool historic building. Super tall ceilings, fancy elevator, old mail drop boxes (things our kids thought were cool). Full free breakfast, too!

This was possibly the worst hotel stay ever. Expedia totally price gouged me - I spent 315 a night for a hotel that was not worth 100. I was traveling with my family including two small children - the location is not appropriate. My daughter was scared one night to go back to the hotel but at that point we were committed. The block behind the hotel is the strip club district of Baltimore . It was loud, there were lots of people just standing or smoking outside, lots of loud cars and people going to the clubs. The police closed off the block behind the hotel. The walls were very thin and I couldn’t sleep all night. On my floor there was loud partying all night including screaming and banging on doors from people that were attending mdf. Outside it was loud cars racing and people screaming. The hotels were old and dingy. The beds were worn out. The couch had a stain and the carpet was gross. Buyer beware do not stay at this hotel.
