Union Bluff Hotel

For family rooms more than two keys should be available. Great location. Food was good but overpriced. Bar staff was terrific

Very dated facilities which can be charming but is cumbersome. TV didn’t work. Took two visits to the front desk across a day to get it resolved, which made entertaining two young kids at night a challenge at best. Could hear people walking around upstairs until very late at night. Mistakenly left our credit card at the bar (corralling kids to bed). Bar confirmed they have it to the front desk. Front desk insisted they didn’t have it and were literally anything but helpful. Couldn’t have cared less if he tried. I had to demand leaving our contact information for when it shows up and response was, “I don’t want to get your hopes up because it’s not here.” Except it is. Wonderful way to continue our travels without a credit card and an incredibly apathetic and cold staff person to help. Staff in the bar were at least understanding and tried to help.

Had a family emergency and had to leave early and front desk person was not sympathetic. Checking in front desk one person was accommodating the other person seem to be systematic on Procedures and lacked hospitality

Very comfortable room for a family of four

Check in and check out were a breeze. Check in was a little late (4pm), but check out was fine (11am). The rooms were small, which is fine, the decks on the ocean view rooms were awesome. The restaurant at the hotel was very good! Rooms were clean. Shower water pressure was good. The refrigerator worked like a champ. The sunrise this time of year was over the other side of the beach and homes, and not over the water, but it was still beautiful. The only negative is that it sounded like an army of pan-banging toddlers started a delivery at 8am right outside our room that felt like it lasted an hour. Was it worth $200 a night for the ocean view room during the off-season? Probably not. There were plenty of ocean-view rooms not used and I think they’re more of a $140 room. I would return, but not for that price.

Nothing special. Breakfast seriously lacking. Small tv, no one ever answered the front desk phone for service. Curtains barely covered the windows. All of our windows on the ground floor were left unlocked -huge safety concern for me traveling with an infant. Thankfully I checked and relocked them. Also located by back door which was also left unlocked and literally anyone could enter the hotel. Good location and the double Queen room is very large.
