Clarion Pointe Richmond North near University

We had our grandkids with us and they had fun.

We arrived after a long trip in the car with young children. When we arrived my 4 year old found a couple of small toys that had been left behind. Ok, that’s fine…. But then as time went on we found a bristled hair brush on one side of the bed and an old milk container under the sitting chair. We asked for a couple of extra blankets at the front desk and the staff had to “get approval” to get us the blankets. After about 45 minutes she let us know we could walk back across the parking lot and pick them up. Our room was in front of an exterior door that no one’s key opened. We ended up deciding to just drive the rest of the 5 hours home instead of stay in a place that felt unclean. We left about 2.5 hours after we arrived. Would have been sooner if we didn’t have to reload everything we had unloaded while juggling the door that didn’t work.

The toilet did not work, wi-fi didn't work and TV did not show channels that it said it should. The shower stall was designed for a 8o pound child -- not an adult. We would have had a better stay at a Motel 6 or any other low budget motel. The bed was comfortable, the food was adequate, and the staff was cheerful. We have stayed at other Clarions before but this was the worst.

I loved the room, very clean. The wall mural was awesome, I took a picture and sent to my family. Very disappointed with the cable provider, Spectrum. No guide on remote, had to go to the front desk for a channel guide. Could not get the shower to work. There was no handle for it. Informed the front desk. Your staff were very kind and helpful.

While traveling, my family and I stayed here for a night..The beds- really comfortable. Room was clean. Hospitality from staff- Amazing. Breakfast- Delicious. Overall- 10/10..would stay here again.
