Microtel Inn by Wyndham Bowling Green

Please stay away from here. I tried so hard to give it a chance but unfortunately it was terrible. Usually staying 1 night in a random state I have stayed at older motels/hotels and they have been a LOT better than this one. The lady at the front desk was super kind but me and my boyfriend went upstairs to our room and it was awful. Stains on the mattress that were yellow, saw multiple dead and alive bugs that looked like baby roaches. It was unpleasant. We were there for 30 minutes inspecting the room before we checked out and left and found another hotel!! I attempted to get a refund and the request was denied by management. AS I STATED WE DIDNT EVEN STAY THERE OVER 30 MINUTES! It’s a scam to take peoples money and not even clean your room… it’s actually gross and scary. I don’t want to sleep in sheets that have multiple yellow stains. Please please pay a little more and there is so many better options nearby! We ended up staying at the sleep inn it was SO much better for only $20 more.

I made this hotel reservation for our family. Our children normally sleep on the floor in sleeping bags because there are never enough places for them to sleep in beds. We have 4 small children. When we arrived we were told that it was a fire hazard to have that many people in our hotel room. However, we could pay $40 (aka. a bribe) and then the fire hazard would somehow magically go away or we could purchase another room. My husband informed them that if it was truly a fire hazard that paying $40 isn't going to get rid of a fire hazard. Then it was mentioned that we were all going to eat breakfast in the morning and my husband told them that we would go eat breakfast somewhere else. However, we were told that we would then need to reserve another room and the $40 to save us from a fire hazard was no longer an option. We ended up staying because it was getting late and we needed to get our kids to sleep so that we could leave early the next morning. The room itself was clean and fine, but the service was absolutely terrible.
