Holiday Inn Express Bowling Green, an IHG Hotel

My wife and I were traveling with our 2 oldest granddaughters. The desk clerk was nice and cordial amid the chaos of construction. The property was cleans and much of it is brand new. The big challenge for us is that due to the remodel they no longer have king rooms with a sleeper sofa which is exactly what I booked for us.I did not know this until we were already checked in and in our room. Again the lady was kind in letting me know that they longer offer that kind of room and because I paid on Hotels. Com there was not much she could do for me. She offered to bring up a rollaway cot. In the meantime we discovered that the A/C did not work in our room. After she tried to get it working herself she moved us to another room and the girls ended up sleeping on a twin size cot which was not very comfortable for them. Don’t go here if you want a king size bed and have children with you.

Check in was smooth and hotel was clean. The layout of the rooms is absurd! With two small kids, I need the bathroom to be enclosed so I can wake up early and get ready while they sleep. But the sink and mirror were right inside the door with no separation from the bed area. So as soon as I got up, they were up. It was awful. Breakfast was also pretty terrible. Out of milk, hardly any options out. We saw the pancake maker on a cart stocked with stuff inside the staff area, but it never got brought out.
