Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Council Bluffs - Conv Ctr, an IHG Hotel

My family of four stayed in a king room one night on a roadtrip. There was ample room to set up two portable cribs and still move around. The front desk staff was friendly as well as the breakfast attendant. She gave my kids coloring pages while that ate which made them less restless. The room was nice with all the amenities you would need. The bathroom had Dove brand products which was nice for a change. Our bed was clean and comfortable and the hotel was clean also. There is not much around the building and we ended up ordering from a pizza chain for dinner. Breakfast was uninspiring and not very good.

The breakfast staff was amazing Easter Sunday morning! There were eggs hidden and surprises for the kids, such a nice touch especially being away from home on a holiday.

I've stayed here 5 nights in the last 3 weeks traveling for business and pleasure. Its a decent rate, close to the zoo, casino, downtown Omaha, etc. They have a clean room and good breakfast and are pretty friendly as far as the staff goes. The biggest complaint I have is the walls are thin. This last stay the couple next door were loud leaving the room at 10:50. I heard them return from the casino at 1:50 when the shuttle dropped them off, up the elevator, down the hall and into the room next to us. I had hoped they would be ready for bed but they decided to argue loudly. It woke the kids up. We tried asking them to be quite and even called the front desk which didn't resolve the issue but made it worse as they yelled at each other for having others complain about them being too loud. Finally at 3:45 after several minutes of crying in the bathroom by the female guest the guy left and we were able to go to sleep.

Stay was great, breakfast was awesome, and kids had fun in the pool, staff was available. My only complaint is that the shower was not clean and had hair in it from previous customers.

This trip was all about getting our child situated at college. We needed a place to come back to that was relaxing and comfortable and HIE met that. Our room was clean and comfortable. Pool and Hot tub area was nice as well. The breakfast was good with a nice variety. The service on the other hand was poor. Only one desk clerk seemed somewhat friendly, so as long as you don't have to talk to them it was fine. We had four in our room and every morning we would only get three towels. My husband would go ask for a towel, and they would give us a small hand towel. Kind of frustrating. The hall way carpet was dirty, but once you were in your room it was okay.

We stayed overnight as a little family getaway. The kids loved the pool and the breakfast the next morning was great! There was a variety of food which was nice since I am on a strict diet. We will come back for sure!
