Residence Inn by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown on the Canal

The staff & the hotel were wonderful . . However, we couldnt really relax & enjoy the pool like we wanted to because there was about 10-15 young screaming & very rude kids w/adults who did nothing about their kids being ridiculously loud & rude!!!! After a long day of walking through the Children's Museum & being tired & sore . . We wanted a nice relaxing swim (in what we thought would be a heated pool) . . We ended up w/an extremely loud, rude & lukewarm experience. . . Why was the pool not heated? The only other complaint was the elevators were really small & extremely s-l-o-w!!! . . Our room was great though & the staff were very helpful & friendly

The hotel was a little to find due to one way streets. We barely got to our room, tried to put the kids to bed and had to leave. Our youngest grandchild threw a fit because he didn't want lights on, and his brother did. The table lamp did not work, so all we had to use was the overhead bright light. Wasted trip.

If you list a pool as an amenity please have it at a reasonable temperature. Would not have booked for the kids if i knew the pool was 60 degrees. Room was comfortable and in decent shape.

This hotel was very disappointing and very misleading. I stayed with my family here and it was so upsetting my wife could not sleep peacefully. The kitchenette cabinets were old and hanging on a hinge, the bed sheets had small stains, and under the mattress cover were crumbs of food! We had 2 bathrooms, which were a plus, but the tub had stains and the shower walls as well. We were suppose to have a dining table set for 4, yet it was only set for 2. However, that doesn't work well for us since we are a family of 4. Worst of all, we had multiple visits from ants and spiders! For the price we paid, this room did not live up to the expectations nor even the standards advertised online! The only great thing was the location, many restaurants, and the parks nearby. However, for the hotel itself, we will not be staying here again.

I REALLY wanted to give this hotel a great rating. While we were there it was great. Rooms were clean, easy check in, great location.(4 stars there) However, about an hour after we left our 4 year realized he left his stuffed gorilla he had just gotten at the zoo behind. We called to see if they had found it, they hadn’t, but when we were about an hour from home they called and said the cleaning person had found it in a bed. My 4yo was so happy and they said they would ship it out on Tuesday (we left on a Sunday). I have them a week and checked my account they had charged me $50 for shipping. $50! That’s absurd, but whatever. I figured his toy should be arriving soon. Couple more days, nothing I called back “oh yeah it’s still here it will ship when fedex comes”. Fast forward til now, over a month later a call every week to check I always get a let me check. I’ve been told twice it has been sent out and nothing. This time I didn’t even get a call back. My 4yo still asks about it, but at this point we will never see it. They have all lied to a little kid and stole $50. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they stay was nice. Just don’t leave anything behind.

The hotel was nice and the staff was helpful. We were there for Thanksgiving with family and had a pleasant walk along the canal. We would definitely stay there again.

We came to stay for the weekend over spring break with the kids. I loved that the hotel was pet friendly. It is right on the canal in downtown Indy and it was awesome that we could walk right out and be on the canal for long walks with the dog. Great Service.
