Homewood Suites - Indianapolis Canal IUPUI, IN

Checked in was given wrong room. Went to front desk staff states that i was sold a room not available by expedia yet i booked on this site. I booked the room way in advance. Staff didn't even offer to give us the difference back for the smaller room they were giving us. Staff was berating and very rude. Staff berated myself and my wife in front of our children. We told them we wouldn't stay their and there only reply was you already paid for it so whatever. I would rather pay for another hotel then stay in a hotel with that staff antsy. We left and went elsewhere without staying. We had been there several times before and lived it but with the new staff i would stay away unless you want to be berated and given the wrong room.

Only complaint is the slick tile around the pool (for kids). Valet is great. Front desk is great. You can’t ask for a better facility. I stay at a lot of places and I saved this for any future Indy stays.

The room exceeded my expectations, my children were amazed at the room and how nice it was, and loved the kitchette. (Fridge for their drinks) I liked that I was able to walk home from Gainsbridge where I attended a concert. My granddaughter had an awesome time swimming, and my daughter appreciated the "fire patio" where she sat and enjoyed her music, and the view of the canal was amazing. I can't wait until we can do another family time.

checking in, the staff was extremely rude, and was almost annoyed to be helping us. parking was a nightmare.. if there parking garage was full (which you do have to pay for parking) you had to valet. We ended up valeting, they told me my car was pulled around and rushed us out the door and my car was no where to be found, turns out they never went and got it. Another family was waiting for Valet and Valet LOST their keys!!

Place was very clean and good value for a family of 6 with free Wi-Fi and breakfast. Convenient location to every thing around downtown and nice river walk a few steps away.

It was very easy to park, the hotel was clean ans quiet, and the room was big and comfortable. It was within walking distance of Lucis Oil Stadium. Also, the breakfast in the morning was very good with lots of options. We utilized the pool with our kids, and it was pleasant, I would suggest bringing your own towels as the towels that are provided are not very big. Also, I was expecting the $35 parking fee. Overall I would stay again.

What a beautiful new spot. We enjoyed the large room for our family of 4, and everything was very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was great, and the pool was nice and warm. The only issue we had was outside the hotel's control, which was loud sirens quite frequently throughout the night that sounded right outside our window. We faced Vermont, so perhaps ask for a room that isn't on the south side of the building?

This is a very nice, family friendly place to stay. Parking does cost, so plan for that. Breakfast was really good and the staff is wonderful. Thanks for the great stay!

Great setting. Built onto an old church by the canal. We went in October and the Halloween theming was excellent! And the indoor pool for my young daughter this time of year was a godsend. We walked to the zoo. A little over the mile but takes you through a city and a state park and across an old railroad bridge converted to a sculpture garden so well worth the effort. You can also walk to museums and restaurants within a mile is you're not walking averse. Rooms were large and well apportioned. There was a little confusion amongst staff getting some packages for a conference---they were all in the same small closet but took multiple trips and multiple staff interactions. But otherwise everyone was friendly and helpful. Well apportioned store with alcohol if you want to chill at the hotel and enjoy the canal view. Breaks is serviceable for a hot hotel breakfast. Daughters enjoyed the variety at the waffle bar though. We'd love to come back. And don't miss the children's museum, even if you're an adult!

It was a wonderful stay! Valet was amazing all of the workers at hotel were so kind and caring! My family and I felt so safe and welcomed the whole time! Thank you so much!!!!!!
