Hilton Garden Inn Springfield

We have stayed at Hilton's all around the U.S. and loved where we stayed. This site did not come close to the others. Bath tub rusty no conditioner and the mirror in the bath was faux leather around the mirror it was pealing off. We were a family of 4 and only received 3 sets of towels we asked for another set and didnt get it. When We came back from an adventure we waited by the front desk. When we asked if any restraurants delivered meals they said they didn't know.

I would like to commend the actions of the staff the second night of our stay. A group of irresponsible parents checked in with children & left the children upstairs without supervision. When I called to let the front desk know there were children running around on the 4th floor & I worried someone would get hurt. I checked twice & never saw an adult. The desk clerk said she feared the parents were in the lobby drinking. A member of the staff came up & took the children to the lobby to their parents. The inconsiderate parents also moved into the restaurant when it closed and the Assistant Manager had to be called in to get the adults under control. I would recommend that in the future groups be informed children should not be left alone and not allowed to drink in the lobby. The staff should be commended on how they handled the situation when made aware the children were in danger of injury.

In town for a family funeral. Hotel seemed nice and clean however found ants on the desk one morning and another from our party found a weird beetle like bug in their room on the 4th floor. Also they were out of shampoo for the room.
