Drury Inn & Suites Springfield IL

Online I submitted 2 adults and 4 kids and that was accepted for a certain price. Upon arrival, I was required to pay for a more expensive room and told that the hotel had received info stating I had a reservation for just 2 adults and no kids.

It was very clean for a family and friendly staff!

We had a 2 night stay here for a kids wrestling event. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food that was provided was nothing spectacular but was definitely adequate. Even with the building being under construction we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.

All of our rooms were cancelled via an email 5 days prior to our stay. We had multiple family members coming together to attend a graveside service. No phone call, just an email. Not something we needed to deal with since we had a memorial service we were planning. No help with finding rooms for our dates.

They were under construction which really didn't affect us that much. The ice machine wasn't working. The conditioner in the shower was plugged and we couldn't get any out. There were several sports stations available on TV but only one children's channel which was just showing Sponge Bob Squarepants.

The manager was rude to me in the morning because my child didn't wear shoes but instead of allowing me to finish my breakfast, since it was hot, I had to go the 5th floor to my room and grab shoes for my child. Other than that, it was good. The other employees were very friendly and not only do you get breakfast, they served dinner. Which saved a lot of money. Especially since my child didn't want to get out of the pool.

Staff was amazing, made me feel like I was part of the family.

Very outdated hotel with dark, creepy door panels & old dark green carpet. None of the trashcans had bags in them and someone left a used mask in one of them, which was disgusting! My room stunk horrible like mildew & feet, plus I couldn't get cell service because they gave me a room that was enclosed and my window looked out into the indoor pool area where I heard shrieking kids till 10 pm. It was so dark & dreary in the room that it made me feel weird. The shower barely dribbled out and I had to rinse my hair for over 30 minutes just to get the shampoo out because there was NO WATER PRESSURE at all! Oh, let's not forget, my a/c quit working during the night and I woke up sticky & hot. I tried fiddling with the thermostat and it finally came back on after an hour. Also, someone tried to get into my room four different times last night, including banging on the door and trying to turn the handle at 11:30 pm! I was very scared! Overall, I should've stuck to the Hampton Inn. I would NEVER recommend The Drury Inn and I hope I never have to travel through Illinois again, because it is an ugly, boring state to match an ugly, boring hotel! The only good thing was the friendly front desk people.

Well maintained facility with comfortable beds and great pool. The hot tub was drained and refilled daily. The breakfast and kickback buffets were really good. It was great having access to coffee and soft drink stations, and fresh popcorn in the lobby made the kids happy

Perfect stay for families! The free breakfast and kick back hour were wonderful- always well offered plenty. Staff was so nice and accommodating. Room was great- comfortable bed and air conditioner turned down low. Only complaint would be that the pool was super cloudy but my kids didn’t mind. ;)
