Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, a Lake Zurich-Barrington, an IHG Hotel

We stay at this hotel every time we come into town to visit family.!home was quiet and in a great location

The woman at the main desk the night we checked in was super rude when I asked for the complimentary water for hotel members, even though I had my membership out to show her. She was also super rude to my kids when they came to the front desk for extra pillows and blankets for the pull-out sofa and roll-away which was odd since she said to send them down. I then had to go down and get the linens myself. We did not get the room we had booked which included enough beds for everyone so I had to go back to the desk to ask for a new room or something to fix the issue. I was at the front desk a total of 3 times, my kids went 2 extra times as well. The tv also did not work, only displaying the Discovery channel, despite there being two remotes in the room. The hotel works sort of but clearly, they can not handle a sold out venue and do not have enough materials for sold out rooms.

Quick and small family overnighter... This hotel met all our expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable; I didn't have to request adjoining rooms. The pool was very adequate; it was clean and there were enough towels. Of course, there was safety equipment and a readily available phone (just in case). There was fresh coffer at 5:45 AM, and plenty of breakfast items. A very enjoyable stay; I would return. Oh, and that beautiful park across the street was a wonderful surprise.

A lot of complaints from a few guests that the pool was salty. Including my own family.

Big posting about telling the property if you need your room serviced the night before or by 11AM. We had a room for 6 (2 beds and pullout couch) and asked at 10:45 for a room cleaning LIKE THE SIGN SAID and was told we doubt we can do that due to staffing . WELL then you need to change the sign please - that is bad frustrating service. The next i asked 3 times the night before to put us on the list for a cleaning and it got done. The front desk staff was awesome though and breakfast great for family . overall impressed with location unique and close to our family for visiting.

Very nice hotel. Very clean and staff very courteous. Breakfast was great. I loved the coffee. Will probably visit in the future again, since I have family in the area.

The hotel condition is as typical Holiday Inn Express. Nothing more or less. My room was next to the indoor pool, and there were families using the pool at 2 am. The kids were so loud!!!!!! They should limit the time for use of the pool or make the room with a soundproof wall!!!!
