At check in I was informed the elevator “just” broke and the only rooms are on floor 3 (due to floors 1 & 2 being renovated. My wife (with bad knees) had to climb all those (dirty) stairs in competition with half a dozen running, yelling, swearing (unsupervised) kids. The room is ok, but we are now listening to yelling, running kids and a barking, growling dog in the hall.

We were extremely disappointed with this location as it is a construction site and it was not clearly disclosed on your website. Basically the only good site was the room, which had a comfortable bed, a good A/C and it was clean. Unfortunately this place attracts quite a variety of sketchy occupants, I mean I got asked for weed. I know is legal in Illinois and it is no big deal but getting openly approached in my hotel is not my idea of vacations. I had to stay alert at all times coming in and out as I couldn’t bring myself to trust this place. Booking elsewhere would cost me $600+. I also called hotels.com to attempt to get a refund and book elsewhere but I waited awhile and got a email response to deal with the hotel directly, so not sure if I’ll continue this 15+ years relationship. It always worked for us until now. From now on I’ll call the hotels before making any commitments because I can’t relax if I can’t trust the safety of my spouse or family.

The hotel was in shambles, it was being remodeled and it was a mess. There were guest that smoked in their room and made the hallway stink. These conditions caused my family member have a asthma attack. We had to cancel the second night and find another hotel. Im waiting on a refund which I haven't seen yet.The manager that was on duty was polite, but the hotel should let guest know before they book that they are under construction due because people have different health issues and can not tolerate dust and different smells.

The room was more spacious than we expected. The included breakfast was sparse. Furniture was not in great shape. We received a call from the front desk shortly after check-in that the satellite TV service was down. Not sure of it ever worked because our tv remote didnt work. The pool is brand new but wasnt ready for use, we weren't aware of that so the kids were disappointed. Overall it was a clean, safe place to sleep, nothing special. You get what you pay for, and at $76/night, it was fine.

This hotel was nasty. I honestly plan to ask for a refund because it was so gross. To start our stay, we went to the pool and it was literally green and smelled like algae. There were also ants in the pool area. This was disappointing but whatever. We went upstairs to our room to shower and found the water was brown coming out for the first 15 seconds and our shampoo bottle was broken. We washed up with what we had and got dressed and went to watch a movie as a family, and there was no TV remote. All of these things were again upsetting, but whatever. On top of these things, the room was cosmetically disgusting --holes in the walls, rug gross, hallways nasty, etc. The icing on the cake though was when I woke up at 3AM to something crawling on my face and body and found a few ants crawling on my body. I killed them and looked over and a cup I had had soda in had ants swarming it & they were crawling all over the side table & some onto my bed. At this point I'm grossed out, worried about bed bugs or other insects, & can't sleep. If my son wouldn't have been sleeping, we honestly probably would have left. We got up, went to get breakfast, which was mediocre at best & the dining room chairs looked like people had thrown up on them & were never cleaned they were so dirty, it made me want to just leave my plate and get out of there. Honestly, super disappointing experience that I hope the hotel chain will see this review & do something to make it up since they are in a transition.

It was disgustingly dirty. The rugs were not vacuumed, the lobby tables were not clean, the garbages were overflowing and we had leftover pizza boxes in our room from previous travelers. There were entire whole family staying there who all knew each other. It’s was noisy at all hours including 11:30 pm when I went to the lobby to read. There were kids running around all over even at that late hour. I will NEVER stay there again and warn others to stay away.

Booked room for our son and his family. Hotel allowed loud party in the parking lot with people lighting fireworks in the parking lot. One even hit their window.

Overall the staff was amazing, the light burned out in the bathroom and there was no shampoo. Room was clean and I like the no smoking atmosphere. TV remote didn’t work so I had to manually turn on and flip channels. Pool was good for the kids.

Where do we begin. When we arrived the check in was messy. The manager was handling one client so a second staff came to help. Not sure if she was actually working as her atire was short shorts and a tank not appropriate for front desk worker or just there because she was being followed by children and eventually told me just to wait for the manager. He proceeded to get us a room but that is when more issues started. First the elevator was not working and had to go across the building for the second one. Then when we got to the room the ac was not working at all but even more so there was a large stain the looked like blood on the floor near the bathroom. When we called down we were asked if it was really blood but that is not the point. We did eventually get a new room. We had been on the road for about 10 hours and these issues were the last thing we needed. After we got settled the hotel actually quiet and comfortable

The ever-present commotion of kids and family members of the employees, managers, or owners of this property in the Lobby / morning breakfast area is quite distracting and unwelcoming. Also, these kids running the halls at all hours of the evening was the tipping point. I am done with staying at this property no matter how convenient it is to my personal / business visits to this area.
