Great stay for family visits in Evanston, as always.

Booked a suite and was told at check in that there was a maintenance issue with the room I booked. And I was downgraded to a studio. The only compensation I received was a couple free drinks at the hotel bar. That did not cover the difference in price or the experience for my family

I appreciate the location and proximity to shops--very walkable. Hotel overall is cosmetically updated but, the walls between the room are PAPER thin. We could hear EVERYTHING. There's supposedly quiet time starting at 10 pm. We had kids in the room next to us that were literally screaming and loud until 1:00am, despite 3 noise complaints by us. (2 of which were to front desk staff directly). Your non-refundable pet fee is obnoxious. I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels downtown Chicago that require a refundable (if no damage done) pet deposit, which is totally understandable, since pets can have accidents. However, if your pet does absolutely no damage to the room, why are you charging me $75 to have my dog spend the night? We will never stay at this property again.

nice place for a family trip!

The property was nice. We’ve been at that location 3 separate times and this room was not as nice as the other 2 we’ve stayed in with our family of 6. The seat in the shower, looked like it was going to fall off wall and not a fan of a shower curtain, prefer the glass doors.
