The Gwen, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Michigan Avenue Chicago

Stayed two nights for a family weekend trip for my husband’s birthday. Luigi greeted us and made sure to ask if we were celebrating anything. The room was quiet and plenty of space for my husband and I. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. My only complaint is that the bathroom needs more places to hang towels/toiletry bags, etc

This hotel was perfect for anyone wanting to be right by Michigan Avenue shopping. The restaurant was wonderful and it was connected to a shopping center that has Nordstrom.. I would absolutely stay here again. The hotel was clean, quiet & perfect for a night away as a couple to to bring your family and shop.

The staff at the Gwen were very professional and accommodating. We were in town celebrating my husband’s 50th and everything was wonderful. Ramon and Mary Claire at the Concierge were super helpful. Ramon’s recommendations for dinner and local events were perfect. My husband loved the extra amenities. Our whole family used the fitness room which was great. The location of the hotel is in the heart of the city. As recommended by Ramon, we used Grid Transportation to and from the airport. Excellent service and great communication, even with last minute changes. Must go to Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak and Stone Crab across from the hotel. The service is impeccable. And Sean, our waiter was incredible. Wonderful experience. Van Gogh’s Immersive Experience at the Lighthouse ArtSpace was worth visiting. Also had a really fun night at Caberet Zazou. Topped off the trip with a Blackhawks game and an amazing dinner at Gibson’s Bar & Steakhouse. Our servers Elvis and Alex were amazing, as was the Managing Partner Kathy. The steaks were to die for, as were the grand desserts (Crème Brûlée and Turtle Pie). We had an amazing weekend and The Gwen was a big part of that. We highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Swanky property that I look forward to visiting again. The only issues were being woken up by someone’s kid having a tantrum in the next room and hearing the folks over us walking around. Also, our waitress at the restaurant was almost non-existent.
