AC Hotels by Marriott Chicago Downtown

This hotel is in walking distance of food and shopping, which my family and I enjoyed. The hotel employees were accommodating when it came to making sure our room was clean since it was five women in the room. Also, the front desk let us store our luggage since we had booked a late train back home. I have plans to come back in October. I appreciate the help and welcomeness the staff gave us.

Location was great.. the staff was very friendly and accommodating.. we came in at 4 am and they provided my family and I early check in which was perfect. We were so grateful. The hotel was average nothing fancy but was perfect for what we needed..

Check-in did not even take 2 minutes and the staff informed us about everything and are very nice. Will ne coming back and recommending it to my family and friends

2 star hotel in a 5 star location. The location is wonderful, and the staff were friendly. Facility itself is adequate, but several issues need remedied. Shower head wouldn’t change between modes. Door handle leading to bathroom broken. Toilets clogged repeatedly even with very minimal paper in them. Two bath towels left in the room, when reservation was for 3 kids and 2 adults. Molding falling off wall near couch. Floor surface around the pool incredibly slippery even when walking very slowly. Pool towels were constantly empty. Point in listing all these isn’t to beat the hotel up, rather to drive home the concept that it isn’t one thing or two that drives my rating down. Rather it is a thorough disregard to maintenance and upkeep that reflects very poorly on a usually-reliable hotel brand. We will look elsewhere when returning to the area, which is too bad because the location truly is great. This hotel could easily be so much better.

I like how walkable the area was. Easy 17 minute walk from Navy Pier after the fireworks. Quiet stay, and my kids loved the kids pool.

Super easy stay. I brought my two younger kids and loved the convenience of parking, shopping and size of this property. Very easy to get around. Only complaint was noise from air unit & outside noise but that’s expected in the city.

Really nice hotel downtown to everything. Hotel made you feel safe. Receptionist do need to slow down speaking to customers so that they could understand the direction of what needed to be done to just even to get the elevators to move. When we found out again what to do I just thought it was the safest thing to have in a hotel. My family and I spent two nice there and planning on going back! This was a very nice stay. Clean, felt safe, and down town to everything!

Pool is for toddlers and not for adult swimming since the deep end is only 3.5 feet deep. No hot tub.

Wife and our 4 kids stayed here this past weekend. Good area, walking to Millenium Park and Navy Pier wasn’t bad at all. Super close to all types of shopping and dining. Rooms were clean, staff was super nice, even let us check in early. Only con about our experience was the tile in the pool area that was like a sheet of ice when wet. With kids and older adults around, a slip in the pool area is just waiting to happen. Other than that I was very happy and will be back again.

The hotel room was clean and spacious it had a king bed and a full pull out for the kids, the bathroom was clean as well. Didn’t like that the room didn’t have a microwave and the bathroom didn’t have the little complementary tooth paste but most importantly the bed was soooooo firm it was uncomfortable. The pool was clean and warm and the facility was open to use the kids had fun.
