DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Magnificent Mile

We didn’t get the room we requested. We were given a handicapped room. We were supposed to be on the same floor with my grandkids to help watch them. My wife was dealing with a broken foot and couldn’t take the stairs. There was only one or two elevators working and the wait for an elevator was too long. One wait was seven minutes. The only good part of the stay was the pool area. It was excellent. The toilet kept running loudly even after they came to fix it. I talked to the front desk about the issues we were having and he couldn’t care less and was not helpful at all. Not willing to do anything to help. I was very disappointed with this experience.

Awesome Loved it !! We had to stay in downtown so chose Double Tree this time and everyone loved it, kids missed the pool second day due to whether closer but enjoyed the stay

So, me and the family came to Chicago for about 3 nights. We picked the hotel, got there, got the cookies, everything was good. We get to the room, inspect it, it's pretty clean. Except for the bathroom. The bathroom had hair all over the tub. I asked if someone could clean it, but they said they didn't have the staff and the quickest they could clean the shower was the next day. They did offer us the option of changing rooms. But hotel rooms are such a crap shoot sometime, we didn't wanna risk changing rooms and end up with a dirtier room. So we just went to target, got some cleaning supplies and did it our self. But other than that, pool was nice, gym was nice. I liked it overall.

Bob the bellhop and all of the other Staff members were super efficient Would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family

My kids loved the rooftop (level 5) outdoor pool. It is close to Michigan Ave. and public transit, but it is also near a medical center, so there are loud, frequent sirens in the night.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly and attentive. There is a microwave you can use in the lobby. The beds are more on the hard side and pillows on the super soft side. The pool and deck area was nice and family friendly.

Location… kids loved it

This has open swimming pool on 5th floor, few outdoor games for kids. There is grocery store, Indian food place. Easy walking to places in 1mile radius.

The one bright spot was the bellhop team who handled our luggage very well. They were courteous, moved quickly and made sure we had what we needed. Otherwise: The property was very loud. We could hear everything from outside noise, to hallways and neighbors. When calling the front desk after midnight because neighbors were having a party and kids were trying to sleep we were dismissed by the man answering the phone. He was rude and argumentative. I would not stay at this hotel again.
