Bathtub wouldn’t drain. Took two days to fix. Hair in the bed. Drunk high school kids physically forced my wife and I off the elevator while trying to ride down from the 14th floor. We ended up having to take the stairs from the tenth floor. Finally made it to the lobby and let the guy at the front desk know. He apologized and said he can’t do anything about it. Don’t think we’ll be staying here next time we visit. Thanks

Hotel's hospitality was great. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel was downtown and very close to attractions and the airport. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family. If I will visit Chicago again, I will return to this hotel definitely. Close to the hotel you will find starbucks reserve roastery 1 min walk, navy pier 10 min walk, magnificent mile 2 min walk, shopping centers 5 min walk, 360 observatory 10 min walk and more.

This hotel was great. It was a little dirty on the desk top in the room and the remote control. However, the staff was nice, other areas of the hotel was clean. It was very convenient to stores and the holiday events. Overall I loved it and I recommend this hotel. It was very family friendly and in a safe environment.

The area surrounding the hotel is really good, it’s walkable, the transportation is nearby, restaurants close, and look safe. What I first didn’t like about the place is the welcoming. After driving 6 hours I didn’t expect a cold and plain « Hi ». A simple « Hi, what can I do for you? » would be ok. The hotel in general looked well maintained and clean, but the rooms were not what I expected from Mariott Hotel. The room looked clean at first, but it was half clean for my taste. The floor was sticky seemed not well mopped after using detergent, and the room didn’t smell fresh and clean. I had to put towels on the floor to walk barefoot, I wish they had sleepers. The next day after spending 9 hours outside we came back to our room and found it untouched, bed not done, used towels not picked up, not even new towels to use after a long day. When I called I was told we don’t get a room service for a two nights booking, why not mentioning that at the first place? That being said they sent towels short time after. Coffee makers looked very cheap and one of them in 1816 wasn’t working. The room was on the 19th floor, but we could hear everything happening outside, plus the construction noises began morning just facing our room. To be honest I won’t be coming back to the same hotel, I’m planning to come back to Chicago with family, but I’ll try another pleasant place with a welcoming and helpful staff.

I know there isn't anything that can really be done, but it was a little intimidating to have the immigrant asylum seekers who are being housed at the Inn of Chicago filled both sides of the street on Saturday night. I know they need the opportunity to socialize and be outside, but have the sidewalks completely filled with adults and children playing and visiting loudly was unusual. I know they need safe places to stay too, so trying to be empathetic, but it was an unusual experience (thus the reason I searched to find out what was going on.
