Quality Inn & Suites Coeur d'Alene

When I first arrived at check in they had me sign that I wouldn’t smoke in the room and that there would be a charge if so. (I’m a non smoker so was a non issue). The moment we walked into our room it smelled like an ashtray. So I asked to be switched rooms as my allergies would have made it hard to sleep in that room. Next room was better but, still a bit musty. Staff promptly switched rooms. But we had two other families in our group that decided to leave and go to another hotel as they were dissatisfied with rooms. They are not proper “suites”

The staff was very helpful and nice tp me and my family it was our first time staying at this location and I would definitely recommend to my friend's if they stay in the area!

The service and breakfast were great. The pool and hot tub area was also nice. The kids loved it. I did have a guy walk into my room due to an issue with his check in, but it was resolved quickly. I got there over an hour early and theybwere able to get me right in.

It was the other customers slamming doors and kids running up and down hallways that was noisy.

Our air conditioner unit did not work. With having three young children who could not get comfortable and no other open rooms, we checked arrived at 6pm and checked out at 9pm.

We were really impressed with how comfortable this hotel was! There was a hiccup when we first checked in but it was quickly and professionally resolved. There isn’t an elevator but the stairs aren’t long flights. The pool was a good size for us with our 2 young children, and the warm cookies every night were a hit! We will definitely be back here when we need to come back to town for appointments.

Great place to stay with family!

Looked decent, had great reviews online, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Checkin is at 3pm, but we could not check in until 4:45. They told us it was because they were busy and still needed to clean the room. We waited for the hour and a half in the lobby- then the manager rudely told us that our bathroom shower actually had a major leak and that’s why we had to check in late. She offered no different room or credit towards the rate, and the shower was still leaking profusely so we don’t know why we couldn’t check in on time. The shower leaked all day and night and made it so we had no water pressure for showers and was so loud that it kept up our kiddo trying to sleep. Once again, we were not offered a different room or credit at all for the late checkin for no reason, or for the major leak in our bathroom. The shower faucet was literally hanging there, detached from the wall. We were told it would be fixed the next day, it was not. The whole bathroom was damaged and covered up with nasty caulk and looked like it had major leaks for some time. The coffee pot had mold in it, that was also not able to be used. The fridge and walls has major damage and dents, and the air conditioner was full of dust and smelt of dog and smoke when it blew out air. Super disappointing for $250 a night on a weekday. The manager seemed to not care and didn’t offer any remedy for anything.

I really wanted to like this hotel based off of other reviews but beware of room 215. I arrived a whole 15 minutes before check in with a 2 and 4 year old after 8 hours of driving. I walked in to see if the room was available early (as I've been able to early so with other hotels) and the front desk person greeted me with a, "Check in doesn't start until 3" and just walked away. So on my merry way I had to go so I didn't return until much later after visiting family. The second attempt at least had a different person that was pleasant. Room 215 was our room and immediately the first issue was the bolt wouldn't lock. My 2 year old had no problem with the door knobs and kept trying to escape. This issue was brought to the front desk attention the next morning and they fixed it while my family was away for the day by filing the hole in the door plate open more. Other issues alerted to the front desk upon check out were black mold in the bathroom, the lock the the adjoining room just fell apart when touched, and every single outlet in the room either didn't work at all or was both very loose in the connection outlet and lose from the wall. Breakfast was had some variety for the kids but the coffee machine was broken so wm my husband and I had other breakfast elsewhere the second day after checkout. Beds were clean, a firm mattress with a very soft pillow top and 4 pillows of various firmness on each bed (we had a double queen room).

This place was amazing and definitely family friendly! They had breakfast every morning which was delicious and their pool/hot tub area is super nice! The staff was also super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again when we vacation next year.
