OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger

Was a good hotel the only problem was the room downstairs was very loud since they were all your kids

The property is undergoing remodeling, some areas are still work in progress and some have not been worked on yet. I think the overall experience was just “good”. My family stayed here for our first time at Waikiki, location was amazing, everything was at walking distance. And the staff was very very friendly and welcoming.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful time. It was clean, comfortable, convenient! Great stay!

Nice hotel close to shopping and restaurants. Perfect for me and my 2 kids.

No pool, power outage fo 13 hours, people coming in to measure countertops, the rooms smelled of mold and were very uncomfortable lumpy beds, lots of construction, and very noisy. All around bad experience. I blame Orbits for all this, you should have NEVER book this hotel for our family. I was there to celebrate the end of my cancer treatments, this was a huge disappointment. NEVER again will I book anything with Orbits!!!

I will never stay anywhere else. This was a beautiful and friendly hotel! Our first time in Hawaii. And our first vacation since my husbands death and I felt so safe being alone with my children at this hotel. The environment was amazing. Staff was so kind. It’s close to soooo many different stores, restaurants etc. only downfall was we weren’t notified the pool was under construction but we also booked through a 3rd party: the activities desk was also a lot of help! Great hotel!

Very nice size rooms. The shower was a little small, but our room had a separate toilet/shower area and another dressing area with its own counter, mirror, and closets. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The staff was excellent! Our return flight was cancelled. Marilou accommodated our need for two rooms and two extra nights like we were her family. The only reason we didn't give five starts across the board was the lack of a swimming pool and spa. Ohana Waikiki East does have their own swimming pool and spa, but at the time of our visit, it was still being renovated. We were able to use the swimming pool at a nearby hotel, but it was three blocks away and very inconvenient.

A decent hotel likely more toward families and groups of travelers, hotel rooms were good but slightly dated, rooms on upper floor facing city/ocean had a good view and balcony. Aroma cafe with breakfast was probably my favorite, so good. Otherwise there is no pool, gym is old and run down, and no real hang out areas. We did find the beach a very close walk and so many places nearby, also easy to take Uber/Lyft shared cars to attractions. Basic hotel with a bit of charm but for the price likely can stay elsewhere. I would say the staff was very nice. I would suggest the beach outrigger as that was nicer.

Shower was incredibly small and shower door hits the toilet. Furniture was in poor condition (cabinet missing a door) and looked old. Air conditioner was louder and air flow wasn't consistent. I will not be recommending this hotel to family or friends.

We were visiting family on the island of Oahu and wanted to spend a night in Waikiki. The hotel is a great location and room was nice. Would definitely stay there again.
