Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, Waikiki Beach

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this location . The staff was amazing and the hotel was a really nice escape.

Super beach. Pool Kinda small a lot Of kids. Checkin desk could use more help. Took A while to check in but staff was friendly

We stayed at Moana surfrider a couple times and we loved the accommodations. The staff were very attentive and nice. The nightlife can get loud until about midnight but we were able to sleep. All in all, clean, family friendly and we will be back.

Firstly, in general the Moana is a beautiful hotel. You certainly feel welcome when walking in. And its location is superb. However we got some attitude from the reception guy because we talked about the panpac festival that was on and he insisted it wasn’t on because he hadn’t been made aware of it. So he googled to try and prove us wrong only to realize he wasn’t aware. Odd behavior. We had a tower wing room, which was booked before their balcony incident. All balcony doors were locked, and even though we were generously given resort credit due to the inconvenience, the room lacked any fresh air and after a couple of days became very stuffy. We had booked a king room for us and our child with the expectation there was a fold out for the child. Every other hotel on this trip had this setup. Moana did not so we were thankfully moved to a room with two doubles. However the beds were very uncomfortable. Throughout our stay, staff were all very pleasant, we made great use of the various eating options and the pool area, which was stunning. A beautiful hotel in great area, but a few rough edges on the experience.

My family and I absolutely loved our time at the Moana Surfrider. Located right on the beach in central Waikiki it’s a great location and the staff are lovely. Don’t think about it too much, just book this place!

Love the location and staff. The only issue this stay was a crying baby in the room next door.

Nice place very small room for family of 4 . Shouldn’t be charged for bottles of water in room and also resort fee for what????

Great central location! They also have some great activities, especially for kids included with your stay—hula lessons, lei making and yoga! It is on the busiest street in Waikiki so if possible ask for a room on the beachside and not on the street.

We had amazing time! My family loved the location and all the hotel had to offer. I loved the history and charm of the main building. My husband and I loved sipping our coffee in the rocking chairs, and my girls loved going back and forth from the pool to the ocean. Location wise it was amazing being able to walk to the beach, walk to shopping and restaurants, and jog down paths overlooking the ocean.

Being able to walk right onto the beach from the hotel is amazing. The Beach Bar was perfect to be able to eat lunch or dinner, or have some drinks right next to the beautiful beach. The servers and bar tenders were all awesome, even when it was busy they did a great job. The live music is a nice touch too. The Veranda for breakfast right next to it was great as well. There's also a great coffee shop attached to the front of the hotel. It was easy to walk to local to shops, and restaurants to try a little bit of every thing. I also appreciate the rest of the staff as well for being very helpful and kind, especially the trips concierge desk that help set up a couple excursions. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and family.
