SpringHill Suites by Marriott Savannah I-95

We were a family of 5 and we had a very comfortable stay.

I like Springhill Suites for the most part - their rooms are spacious. This one in particular is not in a good area. There must be a homeless encampment near the area. Lots of panhandling in the area. It was convenient to the campground that is 1mile away that family was staying at.

The pool area needs cleaning/updating/new paint. We had to go to the front desk to get towels. Parking lot was dirty/trash and was right next to a gas station. We walked through several parking lots to a nearby restaurant at night with a child. Didn't feel safe.

My family and I, enjoyed our stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average, but good. The area were breakfast was served is super small. However, overall the experience was great.

We arrived with a family of 5 only to find we were given a room with one bed after booking and paying for a room with 2 beds and a pull out couch. We were told nothing could be done. To top it off, room was dirty- hair in the shower, etc. Definitely not like any other Marriott we have stayed previously. Will not be back and would never recommend.

Room smelled musty. AC worked but never cooked the room fully so that was possibly contributing to the issue. Staff not the friendliest. Front desk told us we could check in early but when we arrived made us wait an hour. Another family came in after us, while we were still waiting, but they were given a room immediately. Cleaning staff blocks the hallways with their equipment and most would not even acknowledge us. There were two maintenance person/cleaners who did say hello. Based on the overall experience though, won't stay here again.

We have stayed at many Springhill Suites and thought this had been renovated, but it looked like you had not finished. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the pool for our children to swim in was awful- we made them get out. A horrible smell and cloudy water. The elevator looked like it was about to fall apart. If this is new carpet it is the most depressing pattern ever. We were staying here again on our way back from Disney, but will find something else.

This stay was a mixed bag. I will start with the positive. The initial check in was good. The staff was friendly, the pool was nice for kids, and work out room was nice. The breakfast was excellent with good variety and was well maintained. The breakfast room was cramped but overall very good. The room was the perfect size for our needs but was not well kept. Since the price was affordable I was willing to overlook it but it did bother me that in our 3 day stay the trash was not removed once. When I mentioned needing towels at the front desk I was told they only clean the rooms every other day and they would clean the room the following day. This never happened. I was surprised that this was the case at a hotel that carries the Marriott brand. Still a great deal better than other hotels I have stayed at with a similar price. If the room had been maintained I would rave about this place. As it is, I will likely find someplace else to try next time I visit Savanna.

My family travels alot. For work and for pleasure. I get kinks happen in a hotel and that things can go wrong. What matters is the staff. It can make or break the entire stay. The staff here is probably some of the best I've ever encountered. Everyone was beyond friendly and accommodating. Made one little kink not a big deal at all. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if your traveling with kids.

The 1st SpringHill hotel that it is not clean. The mattress with a big stain, the shower faucet with hard water and they told me they can’t clean it. The shower floor with 2 big stains. Overall horrible experience for Me at this location. Also the pool light was off except one light. They have a timer that they can’t change it. Very unsafe for the kids to swim in low light place.
