Holiday Inn Express Augusta Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Check in was not good; very slow and they couldn't seem to get anything right. We came to this hotel because there was a pool; however, they said the pool wasn't open although it looked perfectly fine. My grandkids were really looking forward to swimming. The girl at checkout couldnt explain why the pool wasn't open and she was extremely rude. The room was fine; no complaints there.

I went to go visit some family in Augusta for a few days and Miss Shawnte and Miss Mysia were amazing. They helped me with every thing that I needed and with a smile. Breakfast was great and the attendant (forgot his name) was very nice and helpful. I will be visiting again.

Pleasant stay overall. The property is gated, safe and secure for you and your car. The room was clean, equipped with everything we needed, refrigerator and microwave, coffee, shampoo’s, shower gel, lotion, hair dryer, iron, etc. If you forgot something you could call the front desk and they are very willing to provide you with toothpaste or a razor, etc. The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable. Quiet stay. Really nice breakfast spread, from different eggs options, and cereals, yogurts, pastries, different drinks, coffee, oatmeal, bacon, waffle maker - and the cafe was all clean and spacious, TV you can watch while you eat and computers if you need that. They have a pool and fitness area that we did not use but there if that’s what you need. The service was friendly, the breakfast attendant had a beautiful smile and welcoming way about her. They even called us because my husband left his jacket and they offered to ship it to us. We were visiting family in Augusta and just stayed a night but this is our spot whenever we come back to Augusta from now on. We’ve stayed at other places when staying in Augusta for our visits but we finally found our favorite.
