Holiday Inn St. Petersburg West, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was fine but it’s located on a busy strip mall like road. Pool was nice for the kids. No frills but good enough especially for the price

University sports team trip. The hotel is great, I stay there a lot as does my family. One issue I ran into this trip is we were told we couldn't use our tax-exempt form because we booked through Hotels.com. never had that issue before at any other hotel so that was a bit frustrating to have to eat an extra $600 on the trip. Also the pool was under maintenance for the first two days of the trip which was not communicated to us at all. Would have likely booked a different hotel this time as we really needed the pool for the athletes on tournament days to recover and stretch.

The housekeeping started banging on doors and yelling 3 hours prior to checkout time. Breakfast was cleaned up 20 minutes prior to confirmed end time. The inconvenience completely derailed my family’s day. We were told Breakfast was served until 10am, and I confirmed that time. We came downstairs at 9:40 and it was cleaned up and they refused to serve us.

1.The staff was racism. 2. We booked two rooms, and we found a baby cockroach on the bed at 9 pm and 3 pm. My friends asked to change to another room. The front desk staff gave us hard times and wanted to charge fee as a third room. In the morning, when we were checking out, they wanted to charge fee. After we told everything to the morning staff, a white man, he was like a leader giving pressure to the lady (who was the night staff) in order to let go the incidence. 3. They even did not have business card, and said they are a new property. No professional. 4. You need to pay for breakfast. No breakfast included.

This hotel was so nice. I will definitely stay here again when I come to visit family.

Hallway Floors were dirty everyday, no towels in our room, we had to wait till almost 11 pm to get towels in our room, no complimentary coffee in lobby. When we asked for coffee we were told to use the one in our room. How are we supposed to do that without any water??? Location was not in an ideal location. Lots of homeless people around the area. Even at one point one was in the parking lot of the hotel begging as we were exiting the hotel and trying to get in our vehicle. After he left us he went to another family trying to exit their vehicle and go into the hotel.

We rented three rooms the evening prior to a family graduation. People were arriving at various times and schedules were tight. It was very helpful to have a restauarant onsite with menu items that satisfied everyone. Dining in a casual setting gave us an unexpected opportunity to unwind.

Check in/out was smooth. The location was convenient for me and my family. I’ve stayed at this hotel before and it was a pleasure.

The rooms being sold by Expedia are not accurate I booked one with a king bed and a double bed which they don’t have in the hotel I was traveling with children i thought that was just perfect and different since hotels usually don’t have that but since I trust Expedia I went for it my first impression walking into the room was not pleasant the room smelled bad the room was dirty I found hair in the shower the sheets felt grainy literally like if it had dirt on it I travel a lot this is was extremely disappointing I don’t recommend this hotel at all go elsewhere

We stayed 4 days and the room service was lacking. We left the room ready to be cleaned and the housekeeper didn't leave enough towels or shampoo or conditioner. I then tried asking two housekeepers for more, the front desk by phone and in person and never received any. I started asking at 10am and at 4pm I was able to get some from the second floor housekeeper. No one ever sent any like the front desk said they would. We asked 5 times by then end of it. When I said something about it at check out, I was just told they were short staffed. That doesn't help when you have a family and need to take a shower. I imagine there was an empty room that had a couple of towels but we were not a priority.
