Hampton Inn Jacksonville-Downtown-I-95

I always stay at Hampton Inn, from up north to Florida. Having decades of family from both areas, where I grew up. This Hampton was the first time I was minimally impressed. This was okay but I found every facet of my surroundings were old, worn & simply dated.

We went to Jacksonville for a concerr at the Vystar Arena - It was hard to tell on the overall map but the location is PERFECT if you are going there. Its just a turn over the draw bridge and you are basically there - 6 minutes. Second, there is a Panera bread 5 minutes away so that was convenient. Now onto the hotel - normal Hampton hotel. We had 2 rooms and I would say one air condititoner unit was upgraded and one wasn't. Overall the room was clean (although I will say they overused the deodorant/air cleaner, it was SO strong), there were lots of towels, good pillows. Older hotel but what I expected really for lots of visitors. Lastly, I would say the real shining gem of the hotel is the staff. Kesha at the front desk was SO nice from check in to check out. Also we left an important jacket there and she made sure that hotel staff had it for one of our friends to pick it up. Also the staff in the breakfast kept it super clean, was very helpful to our kids, and was also kind. I would stay there again for location and staff alone. Thanks Jacksonville!
