I recently stayed at the Norwalk Inn and had a mixed experience. The suite had a pleasant colonial feel and offered easy access to Wi-Fi, which was a plus. The multiple rooms with seating and the large king-size bed provided a spacious environment. However, the bed was very firm, which made it difficult for me to get a good night's sleep. There were some peculiar aspects of the suite that I found inconvenient. For instance, there was nowhere to hang bath towels, which I found quite odd. Additionally, despite having a couch in the suite, it wasn't a pull-out couch. I was informed that most of their suites do not have pull-out couches, which is a significant drawback for families looking for more sleeping options. On the last day of my stay, I had a rather unsettling experience. I left my room briefly to get food for breakfast, and upon returning, I found that someone had already started cleaning my room even though it was before checkout time. This invasion of privacy was quite off-putting. Overall, while the Norwalk Inn has some positive aspects, there are several issues that need addressing to make it a more comfortable and family-friendly option.

My family had a very comfortable stay at this historical hotel. We stayed at a suite in their guest house and it was the perfect room for families. Not much is in walking distance but everything is close by if you have a car. Their rates are very competitive and a great value for the price. I would bring my family here again for sure.

Great hotel conveniently located in historic Norwalk Connecticut. The rooms are nice and the staff is wonderful, including Martha at the bar who is friendly and fun. She is a major reason why we keep coming back. The Norwalk Inn stands alone. It’s family owned so the atmosphere is very local, which is a big plus.

I recognize that it was the holiday week but the hotel had NO FOOD SERVICE, other than vending machine snacks and a few items we could microwave in our room, with no plates, no utensils. I was very disappointed as I had stayed in October and so recommended it to family when we were all together. My family booked total of 10 room nights.

Comfy beds, but the hotel fire alarm went off at 6:30 a.m. (soooo not how I planned to spend my morning). Front desk said someone pulled it, but of course they had to wait for the local Fire Department to clear. Asked for them to comp breakfast for me and my sister, and the front desk manager said he'd have to call the owner?? he never did, so we went out for breakfast. There are so many options in the area -- he should have tried harder since I'll stay elsewhere next time I'm visiting family in the area.

A tiny room (only room for one chair so we had to move to the lobby if both of us wanted to sit.) Ridiculously overpriced on weekends. In the restaurant, breakfasts were cold, wrong, or under-cooked to the point where members of our group went out to eat to get an edible meal. No children's menu. Had a fire alarm go off with four fire trucks showing up but staff was telling everyone to stay in their rooms. Don't think they were qualified to make that judgment.

Overall, the hotel appears to be pleasant. The room seemed clean, and the quality of the shampoo, conditioner, and soap was commendable. However, it's worth noting that the room was a bit small and the walls were not soundproof. Despite these minor drawbacks, the hotel seems suitable for both families and business travelers.
