Hilton Mystic

Overall, the stay was good and mostly uneventful, in any negative way. A couple things that stood out: 1. the very first staff member we encountered when we arrived to check in was unpleasant, short and gave us no information about the hotel or amenities. We subsequently witnessed this same employee being rude and short with other guests on 2 separate occasions. It certainly set the initial tone and I immediately questioned my choice to stay here. When we returned to the desk later on with a different issue, the woman who helped (property manager maybe?) was outstanding and helpful. It was clear that the woman we initially met with was the exception not the rule. 2. The room was somewhat outdated, particularly in the bathrooms, which could use some sprucing up. I did appreciate the full size reusable shower products. 3. The pool water appears dingy. I’m not sure that it actually is, but maybe the concrete could use a repaint. However, our kids loved the pool and could not care less. Do NOT miss the movie dive-in when there (if happening) . So neat to watch a movie while also swimming.

Hotel was super convenient to the aquarium and adorable shopping at the Old Mistick shopping area as well as a short drive into downtown mystic and the historical museum. Fun themed areas made it a great place to stay with the kids

This hotel was great! Great location, great staff, good food and drinks, and very clean and family friendly. Although my wife and I traveled alone, it was nice to see all the multi generational families staying at the hotel. The hotel and staff go out of their way to make this a very family friendly hotel. If we come back to Mystic CT, I know where I'm staying!

Friendly staff, clean and well kept and kid friendly.

Great for kids. Had a travel, Creep, which was nice and easy. Restaurant was delicious.

We stayed in the hotel over the Easter weekend to attend their Easter brunch buffet. However, we experienced an issue and received extremely poor customer service from front desk staff Morgan B. On the Easter Sunday morning, we packed our car early and went to the aquarium. We left our food in the fridge in our room for one of my kids who has severe allergies to egg/peanut with my cooler packs and a bag by the fridge. We were planning to go back to the room to retrieve my kid’s specialty food, then check-out before 11am, then go to the brunch. At 10:50 when I went back to my room (we never checked out in the morning), the cleaning staff already cleaned the room and threw away all food including my ice packs and bag too. When I raised the problem to the front desk, I didn’t not get any apologies but instead, Morgan gaslighted me and said it’s our fault not to have a “don’t disturb sign” up on the door before we left this morning. I was also told it’s not common practice for the cleaning staff to confirm with front desk which room’s guest have officially checked out before they start cleaning. Their cleaning staff starts at 9ish and if they knock on the door and nobody answers or the room looks empty without other belongings, they’d assume guests are gone and will clean it. There’s clear communication gaps between management and housekeeping staff of when to clean AFTER they know for sure the guests are gone. They can’t just make assumptions and throw away ppl’ stuff, before 11

I loved everything about your property with the exception that the kids in other rooms were very loud. I know that is not the hotels fault but just an observation

All the rooms were clean the hotel was very accommodating and the kids love the dive in movie
