Residence Inn by Marriott Hartford/Windsor

From my 8 year old: Its very nice and clean. Nice pool and breakfast area. The staff are very nice.They have a nice gym thats cool I loved it. We came to this hotel after being turned away by another area hotel that had overbooked and did not have a room for us. We arrived here at 9:30 on a Friday night with 2 children and a senior citizen. The. man working the front desk was so welcoming and kind. We were pleased with everything about our stay. The room was large and comfortable. The pool was very clean and never crowded. They saved our weekend!

The room offered great space for our family of 5, including two teens, to spread out. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. The finishes were outdated but fine for our purposes!

Really great place. We stayed in the loft style, which is really what made it super enjoyable. Nice place for 2 adults and 2 little kids.

The hold on our card was almost triple the cost of our stay. We ended up having to call in the police and file a claim for fraudulent charges to get the over draft from the hotel returned to our account. The staff was unwilling to help with the charges. We did not have enough money to feed our children dinner the last night of our stay. Knowing this was due their error the staff did not as much as offer a free snack to them. (thankfully we had some in our vehicle). Thanks to our banks help we got our funds back less what they were owed. We had to go to the desk to get towels. No room service. Got a room with a small kitchen, no cutting board, no pans, no oil, no salt and pepper. Unable to use this feature. Staff was ready to have us leave before we had even had the breakfast buffet. No housekeeping for towels but ready to kick us out without resolving the over charge.

I love the apartment style quality. It blended in well with the neighborhood as it looked like a little community of townhouses. The loft style rooms were attractive and comfortable, plenty of room and bathrooms for a big family. Loved that the kitchen came equipped with everything from pots and pans to cups and plates. Love that breakfast was included, but it leaves little to be desired. Seemed to never have enough bread items every time we got to breakfast. The sausages were burnt, the pancakes rubbery, not fluffy, hash browns and oatmeal hard. Seemed like they were reheating the same food instead of making it fresh daily. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Close to the highway, gas station, Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonalds. Overall, felt it was worth the money for the loft style comfort, would come back again.

Never stayed at a residence inn before and was apprehensive. This was overall a nice property and the pool made it worthwhile for the kids. Would def come back.
