Homewood Suites by Hilton Hartford/Windsor Locks

Our room was very spacious and clean. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. The full kitchen and full size fridge were very useful, and the complimentary breakfast had everything you need. Just a short 15-20 min drive to six flags New England made it a perfect location.

The trip.was with my family and grandkids. My granddaughter attends school in nyc and we live in RI so we met halfway for a quick trip. One of the main reasons we booked was for the outdoor pool access and it was not working both Saturday and Sunday. It was 93 degrees and we expected pool access. I am not ok with the fact that both days a beautiful pool sat outside our windows without us being able to use it.

We showed up after driving 3 1/2 hours with two kids and they sold our room on us. I asked them why didn’t they call and let me know? They said they just had our first and last name. But after a panic of it being almost midnight and having to find a place to get the kids to bed, our only choice was a very undesirable hotel down the road. After we checked in I got a phone call from Homewood Suites and the man said he found our phone number hidden in the system (imagine that!) and that they had an out of order room that had an odor but he checked it out and it didn’t smell that bad. I told him no thanks because we were already at another place and had to get the kids to bed. I don’t know why he couldn’t have checked out the other room for us when we were at the counter for 20 minutes. I was standing there thinking the woman was looking for some way to help us but then she took the next people in line without even saying anything but, “ there is nothing we can do”. Poor customer service!

We checked on after a flight at 2am. We had a child and lots of luggage with us. The desk attendant put us in a room in building 5-far from the main building…. It was also on the second floor and this building did not have an elevator. Seemed pretty ridiculous. On the flight out we had an upper level room in a building with an elevator. The attendant clearly knew we had a child and huge luggge as we had it with us at the desk.

This is my second time coming here prior to flying out of BDL, with my kids and wife. We have enjoyed our stay each time! The shuttle service is also very convenient.

I loved how we was on the first floor. It helped since I had all four of my babies there. And the plates and glass cups was such a nice touch for breakfast compared to the paper cups you see at cheaper hotels. It felt like we was in luxury. Thank you and we will be back soon

The hotel was clean, the front desk staff was wonderful. Shortage of pool towels, had to empty dishwasher ourselves when we first arrived. There is a stove, but no oven. We were kept up late and woken up very early by the room above us, toddlers running around, people dropping things, I don't think they were rowdy, it's just that you can hear every little noise, and it sounded like a bowling alley. Must be poor insulation.

This hotel was perfect for our family of 4 (2 teens). We loved the spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. The front desk was helpful and cheerful. The rooms were clean and the free breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed the refreshing pool and hot tub, and our son played a pickup game of basketball with another guest. We would highly recommend this hotel.
