As soon as we arrived I got ignored for couple of minutes on front desk. We stayed with my 2 year old son and he watched cartoons and laughed and right before 10pm we received call from front desk that multiple rooms complained about loud noise. Ok so i turned tv off and we went to sleep. We heard same loud noise all night as well as other kids from other room. Are room had gap on front door like 2 inches so it’s not surprising that we hear everything. I attached photo with gap so people can judge if is worth staying. We definitely won’t stay there again.

Nice place, breakfast person never showed up so it was just cold breakfast. Very disappointing for my whole family.

This hotel needs a serious management overhaul > No milk for breakfast, surely they could have Uber Eats a milk run. There was absolutely nothing for breakfast, ceral with no milk, just 2 yoghurts, bread was out, and I even had to ask for coffee. > Fire alarm went off around 430am; I overheard someone complaining, and staff said that it had been happening all week. Not really good enough, there was no warning or attempt to fix it, just let guests deal with it. > A family member had dog hair all over her lounge, once she informed the staff, they told her they will give her a brush- there was no attempt to clean the room or change rooms. She told reception, the brush never came. Rather disappointing. On the plus side, the hotel looks great, indoor pool and hot tub and the parking is free. The pool were towels tiny. The area is in a quiet location.

Staff at check-in was friendly, hotel is clean, room was comfortable and felt spacious with high ceilings, and the pool was a hit with the kids.

Found trash and debris on the floor of our room. Had it been earlier and not 11pm, I would have cared more. My family and I were tired and just wanted to sleep. But a wrapper on the floor is unacceptable. Doesn’t matter too much, but the bed sheet was on inside out which was just odd. Customer service was great and gentleman who checked us in was lovely.

This review is not about the hotel and staff as it is about the guests: Children running around like wild animals. Fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night (with a subsequent visit from the fire dept.). Vandalism in the elevators. On elevator broken during check out. Here’s an idea: Instead of charging us $25 for our small very well behaved dog, how about charging parents with two completely unsupervised children in tow? This is not a place we will return to. And I don’t hate kids—but I was raised to be polite and respectful and not like a character from “Lord of the Flies”.

All floors were dirty including hall ways, they didn’t have any toilet paper or soap or paper towels in bathroom by pool. Front desk was very rood to my wife when she went a said something claimed it was cause there busy this past week. Floors looked like they haven’t been vacuumed in weeks. Stayed in cheaper hotels that were way cleaner. Bed sheets needed to be replaced as soon as entering. Pool was closed. Ash trays out side dumbed all over the ground. Pizza boxes on the table by elevator. Figured this would be a nice experience for the fam to stay at a nice hotel. I will never stay at this la Quinta ever again. We weren’t the only ones who needed new sheets, talked to one family who found food in there bed. For paying 150 a night this place should have been on point.

Reasonable rates and always clean and quiet. Comfortable beds. And the pool and hot tub are awesome. I greatly appreciate the continental breakfast and that the movie theater and mall are both nearby. This is my families favorite place to stay in Durango :)

This was one of the most disappointing stays we have had at La Quinta Durango. We have stayed at this particular La Quinta for the last 7 years for labor day weekend as well as for our Polar Express weekends in November. Check in was fine. The girl at the front was pleasant and check in was fast. However, the first issue arose the next day when I noticed there was a $440 charge to my cc. This was confusing because I had prepaid for my room weeks ago. When I went down to the front desk and spoke to the manager Tiffany, I was met with, "Sorry, theres nothing I can do, you'll have to deal with it with your bank on Tuesday." This attitude absolutely floored me. The nonchalant attitude and disregard for the fact that they had just double charged me is completely out of line for some who is supposed to be in charge. Next came breakfast. On Sundays, breakfast is from 7-10. We came down at 8am and had to wait an hour for anymore food to be put out. And when my kids went up for waffles at 9:15am, the man running the kitchen said they weren't putting anymore food out - there were still 45 minutes left for breakfast. All in all, a disappointing experience at La Quinta. Possibly a training on customer service and time management would help.

Our room was clean and my kids enjoyed the breakfast. Our only complaint was that my son stated the sofa bed felt like he could feel every coil. We got in late and left early so we didn’t use any other amenities.
