DoubleTree by Hilton San Francisco South Airport Blvd

The hotel room and common areas were clean but you could tell that the hotel is aged and needs some maintenance and work like the trimmings, walls and carpet. There was a lot of loud thumping noises coming from the shower or shower lines every time the shower turned on from our neighbor’s upstairs. The refrigerator in room was too cold it froze all of our drinks including my baby’s milk which was very frustrating. The AC in our room stopped working and it was only blowing hot air and on that day it was 79 degrees out. Front desk gave us the option to switch rooms or wait for maintenance, but they wouldn’t be in for another hour. We ended up switching rooms to a different tower. It was an inconvenience because we had an event to attend in a couple hours and also packing up a baby. Overall, staff were nice and our stay was okay.

Easy check-in, very nice lobby. Two elevators for easy and quick access to the rooms. Small areas of grass in the back parking area right outside one of the exits, perfect for pets. Paid for parking. Rooms were clean and updated. A little on the smaller size for double queen beds but enough space for family of 4 (two adults and two teens). Mini-fridge and coffee maker in the room (no microwave). Quiet and didn’t hear any airplanes from our room. We enjoyed our 2 night stay and would definitely stay again.

HVAC system in the room did not cool the room even though we had it clearly set to cool and had it down to 64. A fan was running, but the temp kept climbing all night to 76. Very uncomfortable sleep. Even with window open. Hotel seemed to blame us for not wanting to move our entire family and bags at 2am when we realized there was an issue

I stayed at this property after researching what hotels would allow me a late-check out near the airport. There is a $75 late check out fee that allows guests to leave at 4:00 PM. I needed this due to work and my mother was going to stay to watch my child and dogs for an hour while I was away. Not more than 30 minutes after I left the hotel (at about 1:00 PM), my mother called me to let me know that the staff opened the door, pushed through the door, and asked when she would be checking out because the room needed to be cleaned. The staff member didn't listen to my mother telling her that we had a late-check out at 4:00PM, and kept repeating that she wanted to clean the room and wanted to know when she was leaving. Long story short, when I arrived, we left at 3:30PM, before the 4:00 PM "late-check out". When we did leave the room, I noticed three staff outside my door that all ran away while we left. It was the most unwelcome and awkward "late-check out" experience that I ever paid for. Would not recommend, very noisy rooms and cheap sheets that are ripped.

Pros: The room was very clean. Easy to get on the freeway. Only minutes from downtown SF. Cons: Extremely noisy. Could hear traffic, planes taking off, a man snoring in the room next to us, kids screaming in the other room next to us. Have to ask for housekeeping and even after asking, they didn’t come. Door to the room doesn’t close without slamming it. Came back late one night and I just pushed our door open without a key card. When I checked in, a guest was saying she’d come back and her door was open and room wasn’t cleaned. Called down to the front desk twice, no answer. Women behind the front desk at night need a course in customer service. Were not warm or friendly. Really appreciated cleanliness of room, but otherwise I wouldn’t stay again.

Closest is really short seem like for kids.No place to put our suitcase. We just left our suitcase to the floor. Shower area is big but shower tub is short and no amenity at all.

Location was good to my family. But staffs was not kind.

Their was poop on the toilet seat in first room and they did not have my reservation on file. Also got stuck in bathroom in second room for over 10 min with a baby. And the staff was not helpful and didn’t even give us our breakfast voucher as promised
