Shore Cliff Hotel

Beautiful oceanfront property! We have stayed twice and both stays were so relaxing. We love the oceanfront rooms with the balcony. We love just sitting on the chairs in the balcony watching and listening to the waves. Shore Cliff Hotel will be our go-to hotel whenever we have to be in the area. Our child is a student at Cal Poly SLO so we are in the area quite often. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed at the Shore Cliff for three nights this week and brought our dog. We had a hot breakfast buffet every morning with something different being served every day. The breakfasts were all really good. Our dog had a water bowl and a blanket to welcome her. The staff was wonderful, so helpful and friendly. Our room was on the first floor to make it easy to take the dog in and out with a wonderful ocean view as all the rooms at the Shore Cliff. Apparently, the hotel been undergoing renovations, and except for one wing it looks like they are near completion. However, our trip was not impacted by anything going on at all, except enjoying the updated rooms and amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel when you’re visiting Pismo Beach, especially with pets and children. Its dramatic location can’t be beat with easy access to the beautiful beach below. Definitely going back!

Samantha was a joy. She was very professional and friendly. Smiled a lot and asked some very nice questions to make me feel welcome. I will definitely stay here again and tell my family & friends!

CAUTION!! Please take the time to look at the most recent bad reviews. This hotel is very, very greedy. I have sent them a direct email request with no response. Last year my husband booked us a last minute reservation for our anniversary, it was for one night at the price of $550. The next day, only a few hours after he made the reservation, we tried to cancel because our infant son ended up in the hospital. We called the hotel and they told us we would have to call Expedia directly. So we called Expedia and we were on the phone for a long time because the Expedia representative had to call the hotel and let them know the situation. They said NO. We tried to put a stop on the credit card and that did not work. They are so GREEDY, I will never support this business again. We would of gladly accepted credit or a change of date. They really only care about money. DO NOT book here, there are plenty other places that are even more beautiful and are way more understanding. We lost over $500 on a reservation that we were neve able to enjoy. I would appreciate it if they would make it right. We are locals and would appreciate it if you made it right. I will continue to let anyone I know about the awful experience I had with this hotel.

Our stay at Shore Cliff was awesome and enjoyed every bit. The staff was very nice and would recommend the place for families and friends.

Spring Break road trip with young teenagers. Beautiful location and loved our room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Really enjoyed the free AM yoga overlooking the cliffs. Anna was a fantastic instructor and it was an amazing way to start the day. Free hot and cold breakfast was great and our family appreciated the filtered bottle filling stations. We were surprised with the $15/24 hour parking fee. They use a third party parking company so we had to pay online upon check-in. Most hotels along the cliffs have free parking.

It was our first time visit in Pismo Beach and I must say that Shore Cliff offers a wonderful view. We were here for 2nights & the room we stayed at was on the 2flr bldg & our room was at the ground flr. It was an easy access to go out for walk and take pictures because of the patios. The only downside is that there’s a restaurant (Ventana Grill) next to the hotel & people that go & eat there are free to just walk in to the hotel ground, use the Gazebo, swings or benches that the hotel has. I just thought that it should only be exclusive to people that booked in the hotel and not open to public that goes only to the restaurant. Since we were at the bottom flr, we find it unsafe for this reason. However, the room was newly renovated, really nice the bed & pillows were comfortable but I didnt like the bath towel and one of the beds still has hair strands even if it was cleaned. The front desk were nice but not that friendly thought. The complimentary continental breakfast was really good which my kids loved. Didnt get to use the pool since it was cold. The firepit in the yard was covered and cannot use (Sad) it would have been nice if we are able to use it. Overall our stay was Fantastic and will come back here.

Amazing 1 night stay! I recommend doing yoga on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. The pool is nice and heated! The breakfast was a nice touch. The staff are friendly and helpful. We borrowed some games from the front desk … my kids enjoyed hot chocolate from the lobby. Beautiful location! Highly recommended!

Spacious clean room. Double sink big bathroom. Beautiful view. Friendly front desk- Samantha. Pool was great and breakfast too. The only downside was thin walls and hearing toilets flushing all night and also crying baby next door.
