Pismo Lighthouse Suites

Loved our one night stay here and definitely planning to come back for longer next time. Beds were very comfortable (not soft, yay!), our room was huge, clean and comfortable, breakfast was included and very tasty and satisfying (omelets, sausage, waffles, yoghurts, berries, fruits, a variety of cereals and toasts). Everything we needed was there, including lots of shampoo/wash gel and even a kettle for us tea drinkers! I loved the large and clean jacuzzi which opened early enough that I could get in before going out for the day. There were lots of staff cleaning things in the morning and the whole hotel was very clean. The carpet in our room was very dirty though (black feet after only an hour), so would suggest putting a note outside the rooms requesting that people remove their shoes when indoors. Its not really feasible to shampoo room carpets after each stay. My 2 year old enjoyed the playground on site and mum and dad enjoyed a little bit of ping pong! Coast path is beautiful from hotel but beware the steps down to beach are steep and many! Only a 15 minute walk to Pismo beach and pier though. If staying in the family 2 room suite bring a robe as you'll need to cross the car park to get to the pool area.

The room was everything and more! Super clean, spacious and perfect for families! 10/10 would stay here again!

Beach access was amazing and just an awesome stay for a family!

Very family friendly and loved the option to book a two room suite. Some rooms just off freeway are a little loud.

Great place to stay for family.

Front desk staff was courteous and easy to talk to. It is misleading when it says direct beach access, as you have to walk past 3 other hotels and down a considerable few flights of stairs to actually get to the beach. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious, however very noisy. Even gently walking sounded like we were stomping and the walls shook. We did not have an ocean view so the window could benefit from black out curtains. The kids play area was great, the play structure, chess, etc were fun but you have to pay $0.25 for a ping pong ball or golf ball. The mini golf is really just a small putting green with three holes. And the balls easily go off the side of the railing so you have to fish for them. Continental breakfast was good with plenty of choices. We’d definitely stay again.

Our family of four, including 2 teen boys, stayed for just one night on our journey down the coast. The reviews were good and I was worried maybe some of them weren’t real. I was also a little worried about some of the noise complaints. We had a lovely stay, staff was great and the hotel room big and clean. It was simple and modern design and of reasonable quality-basically a high end look with more reasonable materials that helps keep that much space attractive and affordable. My kids played with the giant lawn/patio games, ping pong etc and it was nice for there to be somewhere for them to be on their own. It was just a fun, low key place to be. I did a yoga class the next morning next door which was great and then we headed down to Océano Besch for a Humvee ride on the dunes. It was our favorite day!
