Hampton Inn & Suites Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach Area, CA

Everything was perfectly fine until we found little areas of the room/bathroom that were completely dirty. I didn’t appreciate it since I expected more for this hotel & for my family

Room was fine in terms of cleanliness. It was however extremely noisy. We could hear the traffic on the freeway all night and the person above us had children running around all hours.

We were in a handicap-accessible room, which was great for spaciousness! The room itself is tired! The wallpaper in the bathroom is discolored with black moldy looking parts. The bathtub surround is stained and been repaired haphazardly. There were ants in the bathroom around the tub. Worst of all was that there was no hot water this morning during my shower. It wasn’t frigid, but not even lukewarm either. It was 5:30am, so not the height of showering for most guests. In talking to another guest in the lobby, their shower was also cold. The continental breakfast was good. The kids enjoyed it. Usual fare of yoplait, toast, waffle-fixins, oatmeal, cereal, and maple sausage and scrambled eggs. Cindy, the attendant in the breakfast area was attentive and helpful. Breakfast is the only real reason why I gave the rating of poor instead of terrible.

Room was good. Except when i booked the room it said specifically that there where refrigerators in room. There was no refrigerator in room. When I called they said some room do or dont have it in rooms. They did offer to put what i needed in the cafeteria. But i have a baby who needs milk at night.

My family and I love this hotel. We actually only stay here when visiting Pismo, the kids get to enjoy the pool, the staff is friendly, and it’s clean. This time tho, I mean it’s been about 6 months since we have stayed the night I really was surprised about how disappointed I was. We reserved a king suit, with a couch pullout for my teen daughter. The look of the room was clean they in fact got new mattresses that day. When you started to actually look, our room had a balcony the door had hand prints and some sort of substance there was old beer cans on the balcony. The sides of the walls looked liked they just did a fast vacuum and missed some much debris, I went to use the coffee pot and there was film and left over coffee in it. It took them 4 hours to bring up an extra blanket they had none clean? But didn’t find that out until we went to the lobby and physically complained. It was 9 pm when we finally got it. I just didn’t like the service, never have they been like this. It was a Thursday night and it wasn’t busy. I just couldn’t believe how in prepared I guess they were. I will stay again in hopes it was just one bad experience.

My mom is handicapped, so the suite was very accommodating. Bathroom was a perfect size, however the water pressure wasn't great. Had a fridge, micro and coffee maker, and the room size fit our family of 6 perfectly. Pretty good breakfast, pool and spa were great.
