Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Jose Silicon Valley, an IHG Hotel

Check in was great, he was very friendly and quick. Room was very clean, amenities offered were very nice and plenty of parking options were offered. Lobby was large and plenty of seating for breakfast. During our stay coffee was set up in the lobby yet no hot coffee or hot water was available other than for breakfast. We did ask prior to leaving to our event if coffee is 24/7 and they advised yes. Also no water was available as well, usually there would be lemon infused water in a lobby. When the staff was asked about it he advised he would make some but after three times coming down to the lobby none was made and he said we would have to wait for it in the morning. In all fairness he was busy with late check-ins, but he could have just offered water bottles in the beginning so we can make it in our room. We asked for bottle water after our third trip down, my opinion would be he should have offered that in the first place. Also the alarm clock in the room was set for midnight, either set them for a reasonable hour or turn them off. If I were asleep or had a baby that was sleeping, that would have ruined my night. Breakfast was good, various options but they kept running out and the staff member was working hard to keep up, if they are that busy maybe have a helper to assist her.

Excellent hotel. Beds were super comfortable, ac was nice and cold and quiet. The rooms was updated and clean. Hot breakfast was perfect for our family. One less stop we had to make. Also included free parking. But one thing I didn’t like is the other hotel on the same parking lot. That was weird honestly because that hotel didn’t seem as nice but it ended up being really quiet so no issues.

I want every one to understand I have recently married and had stayed at a Holiday inn and suites in Ukiah California that was Beautiful loved the place My son was now getting Married here in San Jose so I searched for similar place as my wedding well this is the place price and service we booked 4 rooms we have not one complaint at all of anything I mean this not 1 complaint staff is amazing from person on the phone, front desk ,housekeeping absolutely the experience hers an example my sons wedding was at 1 pm he would be in one of the room getting dressed while his bride to be at home getting dressed my son would be photographed me and his mom helping him in processes staffed were so supportive to extend a late check out to meet his need and him be able to leave dressed from hotel to the church I’m so happy and blessed to have the best experience ever at a hotel I hope this find comfort to anyone planning to stay here they have a Diamond ratting from the Mendoza family thanks to the team at Hotel

It was a great, clean room. It for our family of 5 well. Pizza was a 1/2 block away and continental breakfast was delicious.

The front desk staff is Indian and quite polite. The breakfast staff does their job quietly which I found professional. Breakfast was pretty decent. They change the hot food sometimes but the choices you have are nice. There aren't many tables to eat so everyone is a bit all over the place but that didn't take away from the experience. The room was nice and suited our family of 4 well enough. It wasn't noisy at night and I slept pretty well.

Everything was great except we only had two towels for 6 people. Wouldn’t necessarily be a big deal except we were at a basketball tournament and the kids were all stinky. The staff were great, the breakfast was great, location was kind of sketchy, but appreciate they had parking under the hotel. We genuinely felt safe, would absolutely come back.

Overall great stay. Just met all our requirements for a family stay and rest. Nothing to complain about- clean, new, great breakfast, good parking space. Definitely will be back.

Very clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. I was also very happy that they were baby friendly.

The hotel is very beautiful and nice but when we stayed they had no hot water. Instead of being upfront about it when we checked in the staff said nothing. At the elevators I noticed a sign advising that the water would be shut off for 3 hours the next day to repair their water heaters but never any indication that there was not hot water. After a day of travel our family was definitely looking forward to a shower but there was only freezing cold water, it was late at night and would have been difficult to switch hotels at that point. The next morning when we checked out the girl at the front desk said there was no way they could compensate us because we had made the reservation through Expedia and that I could call management on Monday. I asked if they could call me instead of me having to follow up with them. When I didn't receive a phone call after a few days I called the hotel twice to try and get at least a partial refund for the inconvenience. The messages I left were not returned and the girl laughed at me when I suggested they send me a check (since they said they had no ability to credit our credit card). I contacted Expedia and after a lot of time on hold they were able to get the management at the hotel to authorize a very small credit. The way that they handled this situation was very unprofessional and wasn't worth my time to try and get a resolution. It's too bad the were honest and upfront with the situation of not having hot water.
