Comfort Suites Oceanside Camp Pendleton Area

We come down to the San Diego area every year during the Labor Day weekend for a family reunion. We love that they have 3 queen beds for our family so it’s not super expensive nor do we have to get a separate room.

Hotel staff was nice, easy check in and check out. Room was clean and breakfast was decent. Had a shower head leak and front desk staff put work order in, (don’t bother calling they won’t answer). I had to follow up twice and leak was never fixed. Manager checked in with us which is nice and told us it will get fixed. I taped the leak for the time being, so it doesn’t leaked over the shower curtain and getting towels and floor wet while taking a shower. There’s also an incident at the back of hotel where we parked ( as me and my sister walking back in to hotel, a woman and a man on a maroonish red car had doors open and car running at the back of hotel where you can’t see them. As soon as I got inside the hotel, the woman then asked my sister before she goes inside, if she want to buy a 5 dollar vape, my sister said no. These are signs of unsafe environment especially for kids. More cameras in the back parking lot could help deter sketchy activities. Overall a decent hotel, just feel unsafe after parking lot incident.

Property was great and staff were even better! Breakfast was good! My kiddos were happy about waffles! Coffee wasn’t the greatest but there was a Starbucks within walking distance (3-4 min) There are ton of food and shopping options! And so close to Oceanside Beach!

The pictures were deceiving. The rooms, we stayed in a junior suite), barely had room to walk between the desk and the bed. We requested housekeeping on day 3 (we were out of towels and toilet paper) and we were told that they were fully booked so they probably wouldn’t get to us. We should have asked the night before. The area is completely run down, homeless everywhere. Our truck was broken into and items stolen. When requesting the video surveillance footage, we got the run around and were told the manger would get back to us. We never connected with a manager and was told that there was a dead zone where we were parked. Even if that were true, there’s only one entrance and the footage should have caught something. Maybe someone leaving with out stuff. I would never stay here again. Bright side, it’s within walking distance of a beautiful beach. Overall, the experience was not worth the rates we paid per night.

One night stay, very clean and my family felt comfortable. Very cozy.

Next to I5 so east to get around. Near beach too. Saw some homeless. Be aware of your surroundings especially if traveling with kids.

We picked this hotel because it was close to family whom we were visiting. It was quiet, clean, and safe. The staff was very friendly. We will stay there again the next time we are in Oceanside.

The staff was very accommodating when it came to needs. The room was big, it did have 3 beds which was nice but there was mold around the door in the bathroom. Traveling with a family I always have to do at least a load of laundry on vacation and found it insane that it was $6 to do a load of laundry that only takes quarters.

Everything was overall pleasant, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the location was excellent for the family plans.
