Tamarack Beach Resort Hotel

Great location and clean but it is an older property so a bit outdated in areas. Loud as noise really carries. . You can hear every everything, people talking, doors slamming, kids yelling. Great for families with young kids!

This was the best family beach stay we’ve done. 2 grade school kids and a baby. We were comfortable and accessed the beach so easily. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. The rec room ping pong and pool tables were actually usable. The pool and hot tub were great!

Not updated but can’t beat the location and the staff was friendly. Pool, spas and rec room were great for the kids. Definitely recommend

I love the location right by the beach and Carlsbad Village is walking distance. Stayed in the interior of the hotel with partial pool view and close access to the rec room. Didn't get a chance to check out the breakfast but coffee and tea is provided until rec room is close. We like sleeping in when out of town but it started getting a bit noisy before 9am. Being spring break there were families running around. Just wish there were more signs to mind the noise or that windows and doors downstairs are more noise proofed. If it isn't the guest it's the carts that are wheeled around the facility. I wouldn't recommend staying downstairs in the interior side if noise will be an issue for someone. Upstairs rooms are probably more quiet. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay

Would definitely stay here again! Staff are friendly and there is a family feel, very different from corporate big chain hotels. Great amenities and location and price can’t be beat!

The floors of the hallways and inside the rooms need to be changed. They are extremely cold and slippery when wet. Also they have puddles in the hallways when they rain. But property wise this is an excellent hotel with the heated pool, kids and adults spa, rec room, free breakfast and panaromic ocean view rooms and within a few feet from Carlsbad State beach.

Some of the electric plugs in the unit did not work. DVD player and TV were not operational. Staff needs to provide instructions on how to operate. Especially for us baby boomers.

For our stay, right above us there were children running and jumping all hours of the night then very early in the morning. We didnt get no rest and had to catch our flight the next morning. Call the front desk and it just got worse after that. I know its not the hotels fault, but maybe put families with children on the bottom floor. The hotel itself was nice.

Rooms are a little outdated but location location location! Can’t beat the location. Dinis restaurant had great food and service and great view of ocean! Front desk very friendly. This is a family friendly place with grills and included continental breakfast. We walked the walkway every morning awesome place to stay. Will be back!
