Sea Horse Resort

San Clemente and sea horse own a piece of my heart now. My opinion is this place is perfect as far as staff and views, beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Parking of course could be tough but that’s everywhere in San Clemente. They offer you towels for the beach along with sand toys and beach chairs. The train going by did not bother us but the people shooting off fireworks on the beach did, my son 1 mile away could hear them also. It was our first time there but hopefully not our last . This was a big trip with the whole family and I will remember it fondly. Don’t hesitate book the seahorse. We had the penthouse and totally worth it.

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! It’s clean, the rooms are more like apartments, and the view is gorgeous. If you choose a junior partial ocean view suite, we recommend requesting room 6, it’s bigger and has a better view. The location is great! Super safe and right next to the pier and on the beach. Notes: Suite #5’s parking spot can only fit a small car, but the rest of the parking spots can fit larger vehicles. We switched with our neighbor to help them be able to park but would be good to talk to them when you arrive if you need a bigger spot. The partial ocean view suites are on the 2nd tier (not ocean front) which the website isn’t clear on so it’s good to know. Still awesome though. They offer free beach chairs and towels. Would recommend and would stay here again!

Great value for the location, it's clean, convenient, directly across from the beach. Many options of dining to chose from, pet friendly, great service. The staffs were very helpful, accommodating, I love how quaint San Clemente is. Such a pet friendly community if you have pets, the view was spectacular as you're having first cup of coffee from your living room or your balcony. I plan to return with my grandkids in September

Always a wonderful stay! Clean and family friendly with so much to do. We look forward to coming back each time!

Stayed here for a few days with my family. We are local but wanted to stay in town during the Christmas break. From the outside this place looks average. On the inside, it is amazing. Clean, large rooms with kitchinettes and living rooms. Great views of the sunset over the pier, close to everything.Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend.

Our overall stay was exceptional except for our check-out experience. It would have been a 5-star review all-around but the lady at the front office who checked us out named Tayana was extremely rude and lacked courtesy. She couldn't wait for us to leave our room. Check out was 11am and we were about to head out at 11:10am, but she knocked loudly on our door with a frown on her face without saying any greeting whatsoever. Seems like she was having a bad day and took it out on our family. On the other hand, we highly commend Cristina who checked us in. She was very pleasant and welcoming. She made sure to help us when we had issues with our assigned parking. Overall, we loved the location, the unit was very clean and homey. Would highly recommend Seahorse Resort to those wanting to stay in San Clemente.

I was wrongly charged again for my stay at the resort and the refund that was promised to me by the following day was not made. 5 days later, I still have not received a refund. There are no telephones in room and the rooms located on higher floors do not have elevators nor ramps to get up all the stairs. This is not convenient for those of us that have disabilities. There are lots of stairs to climb and I’m pretty sure this is not convenient for anyone with limitations or disabilities. The customers that stayed in the room next to ours were load and everyday the sounds of children running and yelling were a bit disappointing due to it being early hours having to have been woken up. The trains and traffic in front of the resort are very load all day and night. We were not expecting all this noise since we were looking forward to a quite and peaceful relaxing time.

Visiting family in the area for holidays.

Loved the hotel. We have great time However. The unit next to us had a large group staying. They we extremely loud. Their kids where using poppers. We asked then to keep it down. Their mom was very rude and confrontational. They were going in and out of there cars until 2;30 in the morning. We didn’t report to management until we checked out fir fear of a confrontation We let management know. But didn’t seem like they were going to do anything about it
