Hilton Garden Inn Palmdale

I had booked two rooms online through hotels.com couple weeks in advanced to my stay. I arrive to the hotel late around 1 am, check in was whenever and I was in town for a family event. Upon arrival, the front desk NEVER mentioned I was only getting one room until he gave me the room key and I asked for the second. I was then informed of them being “overbooked” Leaving me stuck with one room, double bed for 5 guests. I never received an email, call or text to tell me I was only booked for one room. We were exhausted and had to stay. I had to call down to reception to get blankets and pillows as one guest was forced to sleep on the ground. The only reason I am giving two stars and not one is the nice man that dropped off what I needed and even brought towels up knowing how many people were staying in one room. AC unit in my room was not working not allowing me to turn it off or on as needed. Being as many people as we were it was just awful experience especially when my family expected multiple rooms and enough space to rest.

I was very pleased very short over night but good Staff at breakfast were especially nice I ate the kids breakfast and it was perfect Thanks for a good stay!

Pool was super dirty. And the next day you would think they'd have it cleaned but it was even worse. So we didn't bother going in again, unfortunately. I also slipped and fell in the shower. The mat that's supposed to be on the tub floor was hanging in which I didn't see, and the minute I put my food in I slipped. Breakfast was good, had good options. Staff was very friendly, and hotel is very close to plenty of restaurants and to the mall. The room was just okay, nothing too fancy. I was really just there for the pool so the kids could enjoy, but it was just too dirty, it had cockroaches and eyelashes,hair and you could see grime. Would I go back?, no.

I am writing this email, for the reason that I was the night of January 28, 2023, in hotel Hilton garden Palmdale california and everything had gone well, but when we prepare our belongings to leave and check out, I noticed that in the bed was a rat waste; rats are transmitters of various diseases, my husband and I worried about our children but fortunately it was not their bed, however I hope not to have any consequences in the family health for this situation, I send you the evidence and I hope you can put more care, really pay attention to this and we can continue being guests of your hotel. I need an answer on asap.

We have a family member her in town for medical reasons and had to extend our stay unsure what to expect from out come from hospital, the staff have been very accommodating and with our rates we love this place and will return
