Surf City Inn - Near Seal Beach Pier

Walking distance to the beach but sidewalks here and there. Two adults, one teen and two toddlers. Fit us well and clean. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Portions of the property have been updated and others have not. No elevator on the property, and one of the two exits is blocked at the bottom by construction trash. I would not have stayed here if I was with my family.

Had a good nights stay. Check in was easy and quick. Seems to family run and everyone was friendly and helpful.

This was the worst stay of my ENTIRE life. We checked in at 11pm. We were in the room for all of 5 mins and started hearing a women say she was going to kill someone and their kids, screaming, whaling. I called the front desk to let them know and they informed in that unless I knew exactly what room then there was nothing they could do for us. I called the cops MYSELF after that conversation cause I was scared for our lives. We then are about to finally lay down and out crawls worms from the bed. We immediately left and didn’t even stay the night…

If you’re looking for a nice affordable & homely room to have for your family, look no further. We stayed here with 2 adults and 2 children. There were two queen sized beds and small amenities such as a table, coffee maker, micro and fridge (which helps if you’re coming from the beach with leftover snacks. The facility was fairly clean and we didn’t hear any of the other guests at all. The view even gave us a peek at the ocean between townhouses from the 3rd floor/320. The shower head was nice. We brought extra blankets but the beds did look clean. We will be staying here again when we visit Seal Beach, next time probably in the room with a jet tub.

*This motel doesnt have an elevator!* That's important to note since all rooms are up several flights of stairs. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, decor is cute. Upon entering the room, there was a thumb tack on the bed and my daughter laid down on it. I requested towles and they didnt arrive until after 9pm the first night. Dont bother with the dominos "room service". It's a bigger headache than is necessary for crappy pizza. The second day we needed more towels because the beach causes the need for multiple showers, and again it took way too long to get towels so my sister went down and asked for towels and the man showed her where to get clean towels indicating she could help herself (great!) Then, that night at 9:45pm (all 4 children were asleep) the younger front desk woman knocked on our room incessantly until we opened it. She was asking in a rude tone to give her the dirty towels. However, earlier that day, maid service came while we where out and changed the beds and replaced all the towels taking the dirty towels with them, so we were very confused and extremely agitated as to why she would come asking at almost 10pm. I was visibly upset and essentially scolded her for waking us up at 10pm to ask for dirty towels. She didnt seem to understand our agitation and contunued asking for the dirty towels so i told her i was done talking to her and shut the door. It was extremely bizzare and unprofessional hotel behavior. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again.

If you are looking for a 5 star, amenity filled property, this is not the place for you. HOWEVER, if you want a clean room, comfortable bed, easy check in, easy check out, place for your family to stay when you'll be spending most of the time out of the room for a decent price, THIS is the place for you. It is right by the street, so you get traffic noise but it's not a deal breaker. We had a two queen bed room for our family of 4. I just read that one kid is free so I'm hoping that we don't get charged for the 2nd kid without warning, but we'd still stay again. I felt my family was safe and we were comfortable. We definitely will be back!! Thank you!

The only issue I had was that the front service desk/office only had one person working it. A large family was in front of us and it took more thsn 30 minutes to check in. But overall, very satisfied with everything. The room was very clean and updated. The location to the beach was a few minutes away in a car. We will definitely return to this same hotel next month.

The staff that checks you in was extremely rude then she yelled at my kids for asking for another blanket and she yelled at someone and told them to go to bed she threaten to call the cops because i had one extra person staying with me
