Amazing receptionist who started off my stay warmly. Room was pristine, nice location overlooking the courtyard. Slept like a baby, I hate to leave this bed behind! 10/10, not one hiccup!

Arrived late at night after a 12hr shift and an 1hr commute. Was met with attitude and wrong directions to room including a wrong room number. Not to mention that we rode on a faulty elevator that scared my toddler. Parking was not free this was also a disappointing surprise. Over all the redeeming features were the size of the room and the tub. Could use a better mattress.

We had just come from a family trip in Big Bear and wanted to go to the beach as a couple for 2 days so booked this hotel. I have been in Ayres before and this one seemed more run down. The hallways were really warm, maybe saving money on AC, the rooms were average with lasting smoke scent that maybe was covered up. It was clean, but the rooms are dated and dreary, but definitely not a 4 star hotel as was advertised in hotels.com

Room and property were clean and staff very friendly. 1 bedroom suite worked out great for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. We will definitely stay here again.

Love this hotel! My family and I are staying while my husband is working in the area, we ended up having to extend our stay by adding an extra day. It was so easy and smooth and everyone we have encountered here has been so nice and awesome. Room service is great, they even brought out food to the pool area for us while my kids played. We are still currently here and we love it. Everyone is nice and the restaurant is super awesome too. I have four kids and they all approve! Thank you everyone!

The interior of the property was nicer than the exterior. We stayed in the junior suite and everything was pretty clean. The bed was not comfortable and the AC was loud as well was the small fridge. You could hear plumbing through the wall which woke me up several times.

Our family of three really enjoyed this European boutique style hotel. From the stylish lobby and beautiful interior court with an Italian fountain, to beautiful old fashion furniture and piano music in the spacious hallways, we all loved it.
We used the on site restaurant for breakfast as well and the pool.
We will come back!

The Ayers Hotel offers the predictable and consistent experience of a hotel stay we've all come to expect with nationwide chains. However, they also offer a unique charm, care and quality setting that is indicative of an independent, family run operation.
In the future, whenever staying in the Costa Mesa area, I'll be staying at Ayres.

We have stayed at this hotel several times because it is clean and quiet as well as convenient to family. This trip was equally comfortable.
My only major complaint was that I was shocked to be charged $24.50 to park at the hotel. This is a new policy and needless to say, I was none to happy.
