Executive Inn & Suites Embarcadero Cove

I had ordered a room with a water view. When I arrived, they asked me if i wanted to upgrade to "the BEST room with a water view". I agreed and we went to our room. I noticed that from the how the rooms are, that all the rooms are positioned so you're going to see the same water view no matter what water view room you're in. Night 1, the family roomed in the room above us had decided to leave the kids by themselves. These kids decided that a stomping marathon was necessary. That progressed throughout the night until I'm assuming the parents got back. I mentioned it to the front desk the next day but i don't think anything escalated from it. Night 2.... Maria Rose decided that her birthday party was necessary in the conference room directly below us with her hired DJ pumping bass pounding hip hop beats. That ended around 10:30 pm. But the group hung around and chit chatted outside for a few hours. I hope Maria Rose had a marvelous birthday! Upon check out, I mentioned the situation to the front desk about Night 2, but I received a shoulder shrug. It was after my review on their personal website that they called me personally and returned my security deposit. That almost made up for it. I would give the place a few higher stars except it took reviews that they read to get them in motion on a couple of ruined sleep nights. It's a beautiful place, but they need to be more honest... there is no upgrade except for bed size.

I was harassed, followed and nearly attacked outside my first floor room at the benches in front of the hotel by someone wandering the property. Some strangers nearby helped me and escorted me to the front entrance of the hotel. The staff called the police but I was so scared to return I left at night to stay at a family members house in San Francisco far from my work event. I do not feel safe returning to this hotel.

Beautiful and quiet location right off the freeway and near the water. Front desk and bar staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for families.

Friend & I booked this hotel mainly because it had free parking as a lot of hotels in Oakland especially downtown did not offer that. We went to a concert downtown & it was super close enough for a Uber ride. I was wary of the area as across the freeway on the other side is full of homeless, trash etc. Staff at the front desk checking in, she was super nice but checking out the guys looked liked they were forced to be there & not rude but not really friendly either. It was also confusing as its like 2 hotels on the same property. I ended up trying to check in on the right side hotel when I needed to check in at the left side hotel. Room was very clean & nice & comfortable. We stayed in a room facing the exit of the freeway & in the middle of the night cops stopped a truck right in front of our room so our room was lit up by all the lights & then about 20 mins later about 20 (not joking, I counted) cop cars zooming off the freeway like crazy going both directions chasing someone so we heard all that ruckus around 3am. Lots of people trying to get off the freeway were skidding & stopping crazy because they didn't realize it was such a sharp turn to exit, so heard that all night as well. I have to say the area is sketchy but the hotel was nice to stay in. Price was ok. I would stay here again if I need to be in the area.

The hotel has gone down hill. It used to be very clean with a great breakfast. The breakfast was not good. They didn’t have any bread and the food was all processed. The selection was poor. The guests also changed. We came back from being out on Saturday and the lobby and bar were filled with loud people and music. They were yelling and saying bad words. The F word was said so much and children were around. It was more like a bar than a hotel. Worse yet, we get to our room and notice the cleaning service gave us towels but didn’t make the beds. A disappointing stay.

I was un able to stay, and was told by the management that i would be refunded. When hotels.com begins to advertise how people need a major credit, on top of using your gift card if tou habe one! Terrible experience for me and my family on Halloween evening 2020!!
