Hampton Inn & Suites Merced

Since we checked in weve had nothing but issues. The elevator didnt work and had no air. My kids,went to go swimming which was why we picked this Hotel and theres was no water and no warning that it was empty. My shower was scaulding hot then freezing cold , we had to call to fux it then my ac flooded and my whole floor and luggage are soaking wet. This is not ok for how much i spent for 3 nights.

Our car was broken into and all of our stuff gone, clothes baby bottles everything. Willie at the front desk failed to warn us they have had 6+ break ins just in the month of December but it’s been going on for months. We met many other guests in the lobby while we sorted out this horrifying and unexpected event whom all told us Willie had told told them all about the break ins. I’m am baffled that the staff checking in failed to warn us, that could have changed everything. We had gotten there late (2am) and were going to check out at 5:30am

We booked quickly while we were in the car, but we were expecting to be a suite... not a standard room. Maybe it said it in the details and we did not notice, but we thought you only had suite rooms. The hotel was hard to get to because of construction on the freeway... the listing should have stated that. And family restaurants like Olive Garden are way, way far away and after driving all day, the restaurants were so crowded, at 8:30 pm, we still had to wait 40 minutes to get in. Not good to wait for our 6 year old or us. Only a few choices for family type restaurants and they were so far from the hotel. Trouble sleeping because of freeway noise all night. Plus a very bright light coming through our window. Free breakfast quality in general was not that great and there was no Orange Juice. The only juice was a very, very watered down Kiwi Strawberry which I do not think you could even legally call, Juice. Not happy, not a pleasant stay at all, poor sleep, then exhausted to start our day driving another 7 hours to get home from our trip. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone, although it was packed full.

There was no AC at the building when we arrived, the beds were not done and the restrooms were dirty. The day of our departure the elevator got stuck and we were in ther for more the half an hour. My family was having anxiety, close to panic. We had to call firefighters to help us out. When I checked out, I was only offered water and told only given 20 percent for my stay, it was definitely not a good experience, will not stay here ever again. The elevator has maintenance in 2021 this is bad, specially since there was no air coming in and out, thankfully the fire department arrived in time to help us crawl out

Pool area has not been maintained. The Jacuzzi was not working and the water looked dirty. Pool water looked clear, but there was trash around the pool. Pool emergency equipment was broken and unkept. Pool furniture is old and should be replaced. Rooms were clean and decent. In the breakfast area, the chairs should be cleaned or replaced. The breakfast provided was poor and very limited…no eggs (I guess they are too expensive). Oatmeal looked like cement mix, hard and dry. My kids had cereal and toast instead. I few years back, this place was better maintained, if this deterioration continuous, we will be staying at a different hotel.

Decent hotel. Check in was awful, over 20 min wait. Employee needed a partner. Then we get to the room and we have 1 body towel and 1 hand towel. Called for more and they were never delivered. Went to front and got some. Asked for room cleaning the next morning just so we could have towels replaced, left us with 1 towel again. What?!? Why would a family only ever need 1 towel? Unreal. Breakfasts looked ok but I didn’t try them so I’m not sure. Convenient location for us but area is kinda sketchy.
