Check in took at least 45 minutes, late at night, and there was only one person in front of me. I finally got to my room and went to sleep quickly. About midnight, I was awoken by the sound of someone trying to get into my room. Thankfully I had the deadbolt latched. I jumped out of bed, ran to the door and knocked on it to let it be known someone was in there. I looked out and saw a lady and two kids running away from my door. I figured they must have had the wrong room, so I went back to bed. As I was starting to get back to sleep, the phone rang. It was the front desk giving me the third degree about who I was and asking about my reservation. Apparently, they had assigned me to the wrong room or double booked it or something. I looked at the room number they had given me and it matched the room I was in, plus my key opened the door so it was definitely not my mistake. And that was the end of my sleep for the night, after a very long day of travel and another long day to look forward to the next day. The hotel itself was adequate, but the experience was awful.

I chose this hotel because I have stayed there before: My check-in experience was excellent; my check-out experience mad me very angry.
When I got up to take a shower, I found that the valve diverter from faucet to shower was defective, and no matter how many times I pulled the diverter up for the water to go to the shower head, it would only come out of the faucet.
At check-out, I reported this & the young kid asked: Did you call the front desk?"
"I had no idea until I went to shower before check-out:" Then he questioned me about knowing how to use a shower: I am not a doddering idiot & did not like being spoken down to.
The bed was comfortable, the room was clean; The view was of the parking lot & freeway.
The morning desk clerk was disrespectful & dismissive and needs to be retrained or given a job that does not require Customer Service.

Nice, clean hotel. The room was very large and clean. My family loved the hot chocolate machine. Parking lot felt very safe. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is nice and quiet despite being near a freeway. They are doing so remodeling but limit the hours and it didn't bother us. Parking is limited and an extra $15 a day but not guaranteed so I'm not sure how they handle the charge if you can't get a space but I haven't had an issue so far. It's not too far in my opinion from Universal and Disneyland if you can avoid traffic. The room was remodeled since the last time I stayed there last year. There are lots of food options within walking distance and also a grocery store. I've stayed there 2 times sonfar and going to stay again in a few weeks for a family Universal Studios trip. They have lots of cameras on the property and it felt safe.

Nice atmosphere in lobby with wonderful coffee/tea/water machine. Walls were thin in hotel room, so heard family next to us and people above.

We had a great stay here. The room was surprisingly very large which was nice, with a fridge and microwave. It was quiet and good location for us to explore LA and visit Universal. Easy parking that felt safe. I could see a monitor behind the reception desk with many camera views of parking lot and exterior which made us feel safer. Coffee machines in lobby for morning coffee needs. Could use some updating decor-wise, but it was definitely a great and affordable choice for our family.

Do NOT stay here! All young kids running the place. Terrible service. Asked for pillows, didn’t get them. Parking was every day and wasn’t stated on page. $20 per day. No late check out. Didn’t tell me abt delivery hold fee when asked abt deliveries. Not that I mind, but no one told me and the girl’s comment was, “I’m sure he told you.” Nope.he sure didn’t. The thresholds to enter the rooms were too high for anyone and my family member tripped and so did we. There was no fitted sheet on bed.window didn’t lock. The maintenance and cleaning staff were the most intelligent and I’m sure don’t appreciate young kids running them. This is the worst hotel and service. Don’t waste your time or money coming here. They dnt even have coffee machines in the rooms and the decor was still from 1994. So awful. I won’t come back here ever. You shouldn’t either.

Great room, loved the neighborhood our front desk person was warm friendly and helpful. Free coffee and water ( sparkling or still) fantastic family owned Italian restaurant next door. I would definitely recommend staying at Glendale Hotel and I hope to be back soon.
