Booked it for a family member who then arrived one night late due to flight cancellation and delays- family only got 1 late evening and night there so difficult to judge the hotel

I attended a conference on the UC Berkeley campus and needed a place to stay. This hotel was extremely convenient allowing me to walk to campus. Valet service was easy and the front desk clerks were nice. My family accompanied me and we were able to stay in a spacious suite. The beds were comfy and the amenities were great for the family. There is a small Target store very close by for last minute items or snacks. My only complaint is that the water pressure in the shower was extremely poor for such a nice room.

Room was very clean and looks new. Breakfast had variety items to choose from. Very friendly and professional staff and parking valet personal, Hotel was very close distance to UC Berkeley. I will definitely recommend this Hotel to family and friends.

Very affordable for families

Very nice stay. Was there for a week over Christmas to visit family. Staff were kind. Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable.

Our suite was very clean, updated, and quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations, and the valet staff was friendly and very efficient. It’s very close to UC Berkeley, and there are many excellent dining options nearby. This is my third time staying in Berkeley, and this hotel was quite far the best, and an excellent value. I have no complaints. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come up with our family to visit our son at UC Berkeley.

This hotel was good enough for our family stay over the holiday break. We were visiting family and needed a hotel with a kitchen. This hotel did its job. Free hot breakfast. We would stay here again. Don’t expect consistent service. The front and dining staff could be trained better but since it is a new hotel, staff was obviously new to hospitality. Service will improve with practice. For example, on Xmas day, Yvonne was there to train the dining staff so everting was well stocked and running smoothly during breakfast. The next day (sans Yvonne), the staff wasn’t prepared and we had to wait for coffee to brew, milk to be restocked, and bacon, hash browns and eggs to be cooked. It was a complete 180 in experience. Valet is expensive but we paid for it because it was convenient. When we checked in, the front desk and valet told us to just call them whenever we needed the car. We did this consistently for 3 days without issues. On the 4th day, the front desk told him he must send a text message to them because they don’t take phone requests. We were so confused since we had been calling them for 3 days prior. At no point were we told to text them. On the 5th day, we texted and went downstairs to wait for the car. The car never came because front desk didn’t get our text. This incident just proves that the front desk is inconsistently trained. Also, we requested fresh towels that never came. Regardless, we tipped all the wait staff, valets and housekeeping.
