Hampton Inn & Suites Tempe/Phoenix Airport, AZ

Very friendly & helpful staff. Great room with a balcony & very spacious. Great spaces downstairs to play games & hang out with family. Good pool. Very warm due to weather. Good breakfast. Lots of hot & cold options. Good access to restaurants & shopping. We did find an apple & a partially drank water bottle under the bed which was pretty gross.

Upon checking into room 308 after our flight from Jacksonville to Houston, we found the night shift front desk (FD) lady very friendly and efficient. However, our experience took a turn when the bathroom sink pipe broke, causing water to drip onto the floor. Despite the FD offering to relocate us, we declined as our baby was asleep and we were exhausted from our journey. The next morning, I informed the morning shift FD of our intention to move to another room due to the sink issue. Although they were aware of the problem from the night shift, we remained in room 308 until around 10 AM. Suddenly, housekeeping entered our room without knocking, startling us and my husband saw them, including the maintenance guy, who were there to fix the sink. I immediately called the FD to understand what was happening. The FD explained that housekeeping thought the room was available, as per the system, even though we had not yet picked up the key for the new room. This lack of communication was unacceptable. As someone with FD experience, I know the importance of confirming room status before entering, always knocking before entering a guest room, and ensuring all staff are informed of room changes both verbally and in the system. This incident highlights significant communication gaps and protocol lapses. Proper communication and adherence to procedures are crucial for maintaining guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Close enough to ASU, family dining, parking was convenient.

When we arrived at 3pm we were told our room wasn't ready yet. I asked if they had an idea when it would be ready and was told "I dont know. Housekeping still has 10 rooms to clean." She gave us bottled water as compensation I guess. I asked if the pack and play/crin would be in the room when we returned and was told yes. Came back a little after 6pm and room was ready but the woman that was at the counter said there was no note regarding a crib. She took down my phone number to uodate me if there would be a crib available. She gave my son some cookies and water and was super nice. Crib was delivered to our room w/in the hour. Every time we went into the lobby that evening they said hello and were so kind. I wish i coukd remember the woman's name that we dealt with in the evening because she really turned our stay around. Breakfast was toddler friendly and actually really tasty. I know the hotel has no control over the traffic from the freeway construction but it was a bummer.

We had a family emergency and tried to contact the hotel directly and through the booking agency and the manager was never available and both companies blamed each other for lack of communication and policy. It was unfortunate that we were charged for a service we couldn’t access but what is more disappointing is the customer service provided and lack of general support or availability. April a front desk attendant was the only person we were able to speak with and she was not friendly, empathetic, or helpful at all.

We had a great stay! The front desk receptionist was REALLY welcoming. friendly, and helpful. She acted like she liked her job which is so rare these days. As a family of 5, we struggle with rooms, but this one was awesome. Big and clean! The shuttle was ready for our 5:00 AM departure. We could not have been happier. The cherry on top was that the room was free thanks to our 10 previous stamps with hotels.com. thanks!

Traveling from Alaska with our 4 children. The staff was really helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the pool early morning & breakfast.

Quick over night stay with my family. Good location from the airport. Very clean and had a good variety for breakfast.
