Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites PHOENIX AIRPORT, an IHG Hotel

It was a quick overnight trip with grandkids. Room 220 is a suite that offers a hide-a-bed. It is time for a replacement. This couch bed was so uncomfortable no one wanted to sleep on it. The two queen beds were very comfortable.

We booked a 2 Queen suite with a pull out couch for our large family. We were given a king suite with pull out couch, which was not enough room for us all. We were told the queen had maintenance issues and were brought a roll away bed and portable crib.

Great property. Convenient location. My family all commented that they’d like to stay here again.

Have to say Staff was great at the property. However the room we were in had Stains, Dirt, Stickiness in the carpet. Bathroom had had holes from holders not patched. Toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Dinner we had issue with kids eat free with an adult order. It was prompted on the website, table toppers, signs, kids menu. But they stated they were not participating in that. They honored it but had to get approval.

When we got there they overbooked and put our family of 6 in a room that accommodates 4, even though we booked a double queen suite months in advance. They put us in another room that had a pullout bed that didn’t work and had to get us in another room that we stayed in for the night. That room was very dusty and the carpets were very dirty. We got moved to our final room the next morning. We booked our transportation to the airport the day before our flight and they overbooked that as well. Our flight was at 9:26 and they wanted to put us on the shuttle after 8am. We were able to get a shuttle ride at 7:10, but whoever is doing these bookings needs to pay attention. Other than that, we enjoyed and appreciated the breakfast buffet and their very friendly staff every morning. The 4th room we ended up in was much cleaner and updated. Overall, if we ever visit Arizona again I will be looking for a different hotel for my family and I to stay at.

Rooms were nice but too expensive for the service. Breakfast was not included in the service compare to many other restaurants we stayed in the same area. It was available to purchase but again too expensive for the options and what our family could eat.

Location close to airport, easy to get to and near return. Breakfast is not free, two coupons came with reservation, had to pay for kids, but still an okay price at $9.99. Standard continental buffet if you go that route or you can order from the menu.

Decent place to stay. Housekeeping needs to clean the thermostat in the rooms. Ours has stuff on it that looks gross. No free breakfast but they do offer a buffet you can pay extra for. Airport shuttle service took a family member to the airport in a safe and timely manner during the night.
