Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Airport

Was unable to get my room at check in. While family had tickets to dodgers game Missed first 2 innings of game due to hotels in ability to have 2 of the rooms I reserved ready. But we needed to check in to get ready for game. When we were able to finally get our rooms. We went to the game. 3 rd inning already. .. when we returned to the room our air conditioning was not working. We stay at Hilton hotels often and have never experienced this before.

There is nothing “exceptional” about this place. With so many choices by Sky Harbor, this would be the bottom of the list. First, the room was stuffy and we couldn’t regulate the temp and had to shut the unit off. The carpet was filthy, the hallways- and to a lesser extent-room smelled like cigarette smoke. Then came breakfast. There was no signage saying the breakfast was $13.95 pp. I’ll was terrible quality but that is beside the point. Other guests were surprised at the charge ado since it looked like any other complimentary breakfast buffet- overcooked egg and bacon and gross sausages. We ate it because we thought it was included in the room otherwise we would not have. Only after I complained did they put up a sign saying the breakfast cost. Very deceptive. I’ve traveled extensively, stayed in many, many hotels and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had in a long long time. I will NEVER stay at a Hilton property again- and certainly not this one. I’m telling family and friends who fly in and out of Phoenix to avoid this place like the plague!

We were only there for a few hours to get some sleep well we made our final journey to see some family. The front desk staff was very very helpful.

Had a family emergency and could not make the stay. Both Expedia, thank you, and I explained the situation and they still decided to keep my money and probably rebooked the room. Extremely poor customer service and compassion. They said they would have refunded if I had booked with them but because it was through Expedia they wouldn't. Lesson learned, no more booking hotels through Expedia! Too bad too because I find Expedia very helpful and friendly.

Chair was wet; I hope it had just been cleaned. Foldout couch sheets were dirty/used. Two towels for four guests. No pool towels. But all the issues appeared to be housekeeping and were remedied in a reasonable fashion. The property in general was spic and span. Room was spacious. Bed comfy. Shower sizeable. HVAC quite adequate even in Phoenix heat. The pool is big and kid-friendly and there's a pergola on the deck. The front desk staff were 100% helpful and courteous. Cold breakfast was severely overpriced at $9 for muffins and orange juice, but there's a waffle house right there in the parking lot. The parking places are SMALL. Like, crazy small. If you drive a 1500 or larger be prepared for a challenge... or park a little farther out and take two so you can actually open your doors.

The room had an incredibly loud air conditioning system - it was so loud we opted to turn it off and sleep at 78 plus degrees. Otherwise our kids couldn’t sleep with the noise
