Our beloved family dog (on a leash) was attacked by another dog on the golf course edge by the hotel. All guests/residents are required to have their dogs on a leash. The dog that attacked our retriever was not on a leash. He left a bite mark on our dog and luckily we were able to chase him away before it could have been worse. We promptly reported the incident to the front desk. The gentlemen said he was the assistant manager. All details provided. He said they would investigate and get back to us promptly. The attack was Friday night. On Tuesday night, we circled back to the front desk, same gentleman, for a report/feedback. There was none other than to say that they didn't find any dog on the golf course when they investigated and that was it. They were going to review all the pet forms on file and see if they could find a match. They never did. We reported in detail the description of the attacking dog even though the attack occurred at night. Disappointing to say the least that Mountain Shadows Resort did not follow up at all on this matter. For a property to say and hold themselves out as pet friendly, and they are, they need to provide a safe environment for their pet guests. Very disappointing. All else was fine during our stay, but to watch a vicious dog attack on your own leashed dog and have to chase the dog away and then to be met with front desk indifference and the attacking dog's owner(s) being disrespectful is pathetic.

My two adult children and myself absolutely LOVED our stay!! The views are spectacular!! The staff are absolutely wonderful!! The food was delicious!! We loved the pools and hot tub!! Our room was perfect and the resort is spotless!! We were close enough to everything we wanted to do. Our favorite was Old Town Scottsdale and the Botanical Gardens. Do not hesitate to book a stay at this resort. You will LOVE it!!! It was a hard place to leave!!!

Kind staff, modern and functional rooms, high quality and healthy food, gorgeous views of Camelback, and lovely area. We traveled with small children (ages 3 and 1) and enjoyed stroller walks through the surrounding neighborhoods and lounging at the infinity pools. Bonus was included workout classes, which my partner and I traded attending for a break from the kids. We stayed for three nights and it was the perfect getaway from the cold weather where we live. We didn’t need a car and it was a quick ride share from the airport. Reasonable prices for everything. Highly recommend.

Cool, Modern Vibe but still kid friendly. Clean and well maintained. Pool is heated but we were there on a weekday and it seemed quite cool still. Daily exercise classes offered so don’t forget work out clothes and free coffee in the morning. Overall enjoyed our stay with our 2 young kids. Will def book again!

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with 2 kids and it was a beautiful, comfortable room. Hot tub and poo, were wel, maintained and we used it every day, even though the outside tem was only 65f or so. The gym was Ok an restaurant was average, but there are many other options in the area

This was a great visit, and each staff person I spoke to was professional and friendly. The resort is in a neighborhood, backing up to Camelback Mtn; I found the location convenient to several places I wanted to visit, and I would recommend staying at this hotel to friends & family alike.
